Looking forward for the "Rumple/Emma" trip to find his son and wondering if the stranger will bring maybe a film crew to Storybrooke

Yeah, Jar Jar could pop up out of the water anytime, now that Disney owns Star Wars. Big rolleyes moment for the ring tone a couple weeks ago.

What? Nobody else noticed the nice, cool +9500K "black and white" color grade during the Frankenstein scenes? And you people call yourselves home theater enthusiasts? ... tisk, tisk ...

Yes, I did, as well as the Star Wars ringtone. Couldn't post anything until now, since I didn't get a chance to finally watch the episode until early this morning. And what is Mommy Dearest up to?

Film crew? Who shoots film anymore? Video crew, yes, film crew, no.

Lots of people shoot with film. It is still a superior format to shoot in at this time, as there are no digital cameras (that I'm aware of) that natively record in a higher resolution than is possible with film.

But... I wonder what the deal with that guy is. What did he see, and who is he talking to... and since that road sure seems to be a direct shot into town, was he going there on purpose?

They handled the whole accident thing horribly. Tell the guy he didn't hit anyone and that he was concussed in the accident. He'd doubt what he saw and no way anyone would ever believe he saw "magic"

The kind of crew that guy would bring in would be video. Yes, 35mm film has higher resolution than your run-of-the-mill prosumer 1080p camcorder, but I've not seen any kind of news crew use film in decades. If you watch Nightline, you'll see a lot of the reporters using DSLR camera in video mode.

The last scripted drama that I know of that was shot on 35mm film, was the first season of Rookie Blue. No idea, at this time, if later season were converted to video. Every other scripted show that I know of is shot using video gear.

Even movies are being shot on 4k/5k video. Hell, even a Taylor Swift video was shot using a 4k video camera.

I'll stick with my assertion that that guy will bring in a video crew.

Depends on who this guy is...

IF he is asking for a news team to come... then yes, more than likely video... but we don't know who he is... so when someone says "film crew" I think maybe the guy is coming to document something, perhaps for a movie or documentary or something... in which case he might very well bring in a literal film crew.

Think about it... IF he calls CNN and says "send a team here, I just saw a guy throwing magic blue glowing energy balls" they will chalk him up as a crackpot crank caller... right?

Did you see how big that vine gets? I'm guessing you have to plant that seed about 100 ft deep to make sure it creates a big enough root system to support that vine.

If the beans are real size like pictured you don't need a vine that big to grow them... I'm guessing only when you replant the beans they become the gigantic vine..

Wait, if they went to Manhattan, why go to all the bother of driving to Boston Logan and then catching a flight when it's probably at most another four to five hours depending on traffic and stops? Or did I miss where they were going?

I can't take full credit for the Baelfire reveal this week... because while I had thought it possible a while back... I thought it was too obvious, and thus a likely red herring misdirection. I never actually thought they would make the search for Baelfire that simple and obvious.

It works for me, storywise... but I'm surprised they made it that simple.

The seer was trying to get him to take her power... but he stopped when he realized what she was doing. He didn't want that power. He only knows of the future the little bits she told him before he killed her.
