First post - hey all, looks like a great forum.
My question was about converting HDMI/VGA to RCA Component. Can it be done and whats the best way to approach this?
Problem: I'm trying to connect a PC with VGA/DVI/HDMI outs to a Component input source that is a TV. Component is the only option.
What I've tried so far:
- Tried getting the VGA to Component converter from Startech, didn't even work.
- Tried getting the VGA to Component converter from GrandTec but the quality was terrible, something about going from 480i to 1080P.
So now I've ordered a HDMI to Component converter from Amazon.ca but I'm a bit skeptical as it was only a $50 item.
Can anyone else suggest a source for reliable adapters, or method of doing this type of conversion? The final product should be 720P or 1080P output on a 50" TV. Cost isn't really an issue at this point in time, just looking for ideas.
Thanks a ton,
NB
