I'm impressed with single player campaign so far, played about 30% in to it last night and this morning, it certainly is fun, not too hard so it's enjoyable and the game play is awesome. I've not tried the online MP yet at all, I've been playing COD4 for years in that regard, I never had W@W or Black Op's. MW2 was pretty decent until the hacking, boosting, and glitching got rampant for awhile.

Like you, I've skipped the treyarch ones.
A shooter yearly is too much anyway.

Same here, went to Gamestop last night to trade-in some used games and the line was going out the door. Decided to wait it out in line when someone who was leaving said there was only one employee working in the whole store. Ended up going to Target and getting it without any wait, just couldn't get the trade-in credit.

I agree about the SP. Probably my favorite CoD game on PS3.

As far as Treyarch's games, BLOPS on PS3 was ****. W@W wasn't bad IMO.

If I ever get to a Y or a T, no matter which way I turn, someone always ends up running up right behind me and blasting me! Hahhahaha - it's comical! I think the way to play is to just always run and never miss! (When I check their kill Cams that's what they're doing! Run! Run! Run! - Hey - there's Chairman looking the other direction! BLAM! BLAM! Elite is free for some portions of it, you can download the app from PSN. But you paid for the DLC up front and some stat tracking.

Yeha,the free DLC is awesome for Elite Status, I am still considering doing that.

however, the online stat tracking simply isn't working. Saw an article online and apparently they were not prepared for the flood of new users and their servers crashed hard.

This just baffles me, and we see it on EVERY fuc&^%ng new release with an Online component (GT5, Madden, CoD)...

What in the hell do they THINK is gonna happen when the game releases? That just a couple couple will show up? This happens EVERY time! I don't get it.

How do unlock the pro version of the perks? BLOPS style (forced to play different modes) or mw2's way? Also....

For those who already bought it. What perks would be ideal run-and-gun setup for smg's and shotguns? I'm guessing you can choose both - marathon & steady aim together again (and that they're both back in mw3).

MW2 way. I have not come across a perk challenge that forces you to play a game mode yet.

Awesome. I hated playing CTF, because - A) you'd die 1/2 feet away from caputring it somehow or in my experience B) Most of the team have marathon pro already and decide to get the flag anyway

This game is BS so far. I'm playing free for all and I'm a level 4 playing against level 40s and 50s. Smh. The lowest ranked person so far (besides me) was 24. Not fun at all

Picking this up today - cant wait to get back in. I skipped BLOPS and was on my PC gaming kick for the past year. Looking forward to the twitchfest again.

Have decided to play mostly Search and Destroy - classic mode that doesn't frustrate me nearly as much as Domination or TD. But when I need that quick fix or to unlock certain perks ill go back to those modes.

Anyway, just started SP campaign playing one chapter per night after I give up on MP. I really like it so far and honestly find it more fun than BF3 SP

Yeah, I'm gonna have to try the single player campaign, I've heard good things.

I am tired of just getting gang-ra&%ed in multi-player. LoL I absolutely stink. Seems I either turn the corner the same time as the other guy and we both start shooting and I die... OR I just get shot repeatedly from guys coming from other directions.

How come I don't come up behind THEM??? Hahahahaaaa!!!

quick question...What is the maximum number of players can you have playing at once online per PS3?

I am having some friends come over this weekend and we are going to have 2 PS3's running MW3 along with 8 controllers. I am hoping that I can have 4 people play on each console so we can do 4v4 online.

Is this possible?

ffa (my favorite game mode) is terrible in this game. i keep getting shot in the back because of the crappy spawns and overly complicated map layouts. you basically have to run around in a circle to not get shot in the back every 10 seconds. this game sucks.

also regarding Elite status it says members will receive the d/l's first over non-members

I don't understand a lot of the disdain for the PS3. I played 3 hours of MW3 last night on it and the experience was fantastic. Console jockeys always say 360 or bust, but I just don't get it. Mind you I spent over 60 hours on MW2 on a 360 so my feel for the competing platform is very good. Oh well - had a blast last night rocking my PS3!

Sounds like they took the spawn system from Black Ops, spawns were the same way when that one launched. Guess the devs were trying to keep people moving by spawning an enemy in their lap! They tweaked it over time so it's pretty fair these days, so I expect the same here.

That being said it sounds like a much faster paced spawn than MW2, which is a good thing.

Same thing is happening to me as well - its annoying and really I only use the support package since I can't get a good streak going...

I like the matchmaking in bo better. Mw3 is so laggy. They had 2 years for development and they havent done much. I like how treyarch listens to thier fans and improve gameplay and IW doesnt.

That's because IW isn't the same IW it was.

Has anyone else shot half a clip into someone at medium to close range and get killed only to watch the kill cam show you didn't get any shots off?

I wonder how many times that happens to enemies when I kill them?
