Patch that released with the maps broke the game more than it helped. Mics are so faint now as to be useless, and that is with the in game slider and XMB level turned up. Games are also playing markedly worse, something I can see as I play nearly every day (at least a little). The MP is past the point of annoying into unplayable, and no longer fun.

If this is only affecting some, and I'm in that group, then so be it. If Activision decides to fix it that's great. If they don't then it was fun while it lasted. Either way I'm not going to spin it up until the next patch or announced fix. I'll probably be waiting a while.

For the C4 guys in the forum who avidly use it. Do you ever come across where you can't detonate the damn thing? Everyone once and a while it seems like no matter how many times I press the square button the damn thing won't detonate.

Yeah, that usually means it went off already. If someone shoots it while it's in the air it doesn't always explode, but it's gone. I get that from time to time. I've also gotten the super delayed detonation where I get a kill some 5 seconds or so after I set it off. I suppose that could be someone bleeding out in final stand, but who knows.

It's happened to me. But it wasn't already blown up. Just took a year to go off.

What is everyone's opinion on what game mode is the best to gain xp? Obviously the more kills you get the more the xp but some modes seem to "allow" more kills than others. Each Mode also has its way of giving xp, like picking up tags for 50xp each in KC or getting 150xp for taking a flag in Domination.

I personaly think that "Hardcore Domination" is one of the best ones. For a couple of reasons.
- Hardcore allows for a high kill count. Have seen people get 50+ kills in games quite often. No cap on kills like in DeathMatches
- High likelyhood of people getting Kill Streaks and calling in helicopters. If you have a launcher you can shoot them out of the sky for XP.
- Get 150xp per flag station capture. Can be done many times throughout the game.
- Get 50xp (I think) for killing someone who is taking trying to capture your flag station (DEFENSE)
- Get 50xp (I think) for killing someone who is guarding their flag station (OFFENSE)

Thats my opinion....what's yours?

Trophy Systems and flash/concussion's take them out, but this happens without the influence of any of these. I'll toss, tap square repeatedly, nothing. So I'll pick it up and toss it and detonate without a problem. Weird. The delay kill is if the C4 is flash banged. It detonates automatically after the FB affect has worn off.

I seem to get more xp on drop zone than any other game mode. often 4 to 5000 points per game.

I think whatever you do (I find domination and kill confirmed the best for me) is to use the specialist kill streak so you're pulling all those perk challenges at the same time. I seem to get 7k average per game not counting challenge bonuses....

Of course I don't follow my logic on domination because the emp is pretty powerful in that game mode and I like to win!

In the last week or two and maybe back to the last update I either get great game play with little to no lag or I get unplayable lag and have to quit the lobby. I also see some same spot spawning...I'll spawn and a guy goes running right past me like I was invisible and vice/versa. I've been happy with it overall lately, I play FFA exclusively. Ive been working at shooting down the air drop chopper before they drop the crate...hilarious.

What is the $BUS clan and does it have to do anything with IT professionals??

Oh and Drew... nice job with the MOAB... my style of gameplay does not mix well with going 25-0 let alone having those 25 kills be gun kills only. I only ever had one nuke in MW2

I've never been on the receiving end of a moab, but have had plenty done by teammates. Its pretty cool as the whole teams gets double xp for the rest of the match.

gotta say, i still love creepin up on a camper and staring at their head through my sites for a few seconds prior to poppin them, but lately my fun has included creeping up on them, turning around and side stepping in front of them and then shooting them. its even better if they are prone....creep up, turn around, go prone with them, side over, bammo!! fricken priceless i tell ya! or go prone behind them and shoot em in the nuts!! ahahaha, the options are as endless as there are campers

another fave....finding a tactical inserting camper. find the TI, place claymore on flare, kill camper, camper respawns thinking they gonna get ya, click boom hahaha. walk up to a camper, place claymore right behind them, they move and bammo.


ahh the things that make me happy


do the tag team off the ropes....find camper in, say bakaara, on the balcony of the house at teh end laying prone sniping. walk in, get on the window ledge, pull out favorite weapon of choice, jump and shoot em up hulk hogan style

Mine either. I never had a nuke on MW2, so I was really excited to get the MOAB. I dropped another one in infected, but I'm not sure that "counts".

I've still yet to get a 25 kill gun streak. Both MOABs I needed the Hardline Pro 2-assists kills to get there.

I started using the striker.. I don't get why I see it less now. It takes an average (if I have 3 to 4 bars, w/ basic at&t package) of 2 shots to put someone down if most/all the crosshair is on them. And that was with range. I was too tired to play it with damage last night....... Plus, its semi-automatic/just spam the trigger button

I don't see any noticeable difference between range or damage on the striker. I spam the trigger either way.

You get range as one of the proficiency bonuses with Specialist but not damage, so I use damage knowing I'll get range added at some point down the line. Once you have all perks/proficiencies the thing is a monster.

I believe you see it less often due to it being nerfed some time ago. Same with the fm9 akimbo.

This is likely due to people crying overpowered. It's always seemed to me that if someone is using a gun that is overpowered, then I can switch to that gun and suddenly it's, now get this, fair. Well, except for the sniper class. I can die from a quickscope a virtual foot away from my head, however, sometimes I can't kill with two good shots to the head. They say it doesn't take skill to quickscope, if that's the case then I must be absolutely terrible. Probably just lag.

...is using the PP90 with the Specialist package.

I've run with the ACR a lot for mostly a lot of slow methodical play for TDM. Also used the Barrett like it was going out of style for almost every long range sniper level.

But with the PP90 I like the run & gun approach. Load out includes the attachments mod with a silencer & either red dot or rapid fire depends on my mood. Using my assigned perks as Sleight of Hand Pro, Assassin Pro, Stalker Pro then earning Quick Draw Pro, Scavenger Pro and Dead Silence Pro thru the kill streak pkg. I feel I can get the 4 kills before running out of ammo and needing scavenger to resupply.

Been trying to get that MOAB for some time now and get close every game but have yet to attain it.

Anyone know if the double xp applies to weapons? If so, time to break out the model 1887 and the snipers all weekend. Since I've stopped prestiging I'm trying to get every gun gold and those are the ones I dread using the most.
