Bad HDMI input

We took a lightning strike recently and our 2 year old Vizio 37" LCD has some damage. The HDMI 1 input on the back panel no longer works, but the HDMI 2 input does. Not really sure about any of the other inputs on the back panel since we really only use HDMI.

I think we paid around $800 for the tv. Can I replace the bad HDMI input myself? Are all the inputs connected to a motherboard and have to be replaced as a unit? Can anyone give me an idea what something like this would cost to fix?

I'm filling out the insurance form for our homeowners policy and just trying to figure out a number to put down, or if I need to put down a replacement cost for the tv itself.

Thanks

You will need to replace the whole Main PCB (the board with the HDMI's). I have no idea what it will cost. You can get some idea of the cost of the part by doing a simple Google search on the model number followed by the words Main Board or Main PCB. www.Vizparts.com is also a great place to look. You can also open up the set and get the numbers off of the board itself and search them.
If you are going to take it to a service center, you can probably add at least $200 to whatever price you find on a part. That might cover both parts and labor.
