Had no idea this was coming out on Blu-ray yet but snagged a copy and watched it tonight.
Frankly, it's surprisingly one of the most entertaining and stylistically insane films I've seen this year. Basically it what you'd get mixing Sin City, The Good The Bad The Weird, Kung Fu Hustle with a liberal dose of Terry Gilliam at his craziest together in a blender and flinging the contents in the viewer's face.
Long story short, two loners added by a bartender go up against "Nicolai the Woodcutter's" gang seeking revenge for past misdeeds..... in a day-glo landscap that constantly chages shape and unfolds like a pop-up book .....where guns no longer exist.
The Blu-ray transfer is a bit problematic though. The colors are often so hot and contrasty that there's blues bleeding into pinks, hard outlines around characters, frankly it looks like a cartoon... which coupled with the extensive animated cartoonish bits, that what it is! I am not sure this release may be in 1080i.
Overall, a very highly recommended detour into something.... different.
