Cheapest XT32 receiver?

Thread Starter
Does anyone have an idea what the cheapest receiver is that has Audyssey XT32. Sorry if I missed a recent thread where this has been asked already. I see all kinds of recommendations, but I'm wondering if there is an AVR that has XT32 that is significantly cheaper than the others. I'm guessing not, but thought I'd ask. Trying to decide if it is better to buy SMS-1 or an AVR for bass management. Thanks for any help that you provide.

Denon AVR-100 (4311CI?) or Integra DTR 70.2. I think they are close in price but still $2k or so. XT32 has impressed me but then, I'm easily impressed .

The SMS-1 is a bit old school and is best for single or co-located subs. It can had used for $300, is easy to use and would be a good learning tool. The realtime display of the Frequency Response at the mic position is very cool.

Hello,
An Onkyo TX-NR3008 is the answer. Ideally on Closeout, but can also be had Refurbished for around $1000.
Cheers,

The Denon 4311CI (A100 is $500 more) is likely your best bet and choice for < $2K models and can be had for much less by calling either AV Science or Electronics Expo. And if you want to save even more Accessories4less is now an authorized refurb reseller for Denon.

Sorry to reply to this old thread.
I want to know what about getting an XT32 receiver these days, still the Denon 4311CI or maybe the Onkyo TX-NR3009, or another one?

Onkyo 818 for $900. Swore I would never buy another Onkyo after my experience with the 876 - dead hdmi board after 2 years - but the 818 is a great value and I am very happy with it so far.
