Yesterday i performed a full calibration to my 95ES.
Thanks to Dave, now i know how to deal with gamma and ID3 from Sony.Ohhh boy, how precise and powerful is this software from Sony and it will transform your picture like never before, because like lovingdvd has said before, to calibrate gamma in your projector is one if not the most important thing to do it.IS A MUST.
The improvements are subtle to dramatic in many ways for exp. the night scenes now are more believable actually is like you are looking through the window at night, shadow detail will reach another level and the all picture will have more dimensionality and pop.I don't know if it is me, but now the picture is more clearer and, if before i spotted a little noise in a few scenes in the movies, now is spot on,without a hint of noise if is not actual in the movie itself.I put some scenes from Monster Inc. and i was amazed how the picture is transformed,a big boost in shadow detail, and for example in many scenes when the light is behind Sully it goes through his hair in most believable way,the bean of light through the windows are more real.Yesterday i was watching Kill The Irishman movie and i must say that the night scenes were wonderfully real with a real dimensionality,of course also the day scenes were fantastic. In my case with RCP off and color to normal i made a check to all saturation's(25,50,75,100%) and i report that are almost spot on on all different levels.
I made the calibration with gamma 4 and i personalized it in a good way i think, from 5-20% to 2.22 value, 30,40% to 2.30, 50,60,70,80,90,100% to 2.40.( i have from 2.35 to 2.38).
To 100% i only managed 2.30(a few tips will be welcomed).
This is my first gamma full calibration and i am very pleased with my results.
