My new Fusion - Lagoon chairs from Roman - Page 15

I'm still trying to decide between the Tributes and the Lagoons myself. Aside from features, mostly concerned with back and neck support. A comfortable viewing angle when reclined. I'm leaning towards the Lagoons as of now because of the adjustable headrest, but I'm from the school of less is more in many cases. I've talked to Roman on the phone 3 times now and can't quite make up my mind.

I have the Escapes and I love the adjustable head rest. For me, it's one of those features you can live without but once you have it, you would really have a hard time giving it up. Don't buy into it unless you are ready to make it a requirement in the future.

Hi Fusion users with Buttkickers,

I orderd my chairs without buttkickers for now but want to explore that as well.

could you comment on if the buttkicker bottoms out on these chairs like most people complain?

Or the fusion chairs have an optimized mounting place and proper feet isolation that give the right tactile feedback without bottoming out?

BTW I have a buttkicker LFE that i mounted directly to my couch and it was bottoming out too soon and I hope these HT seating don't have this issue.

I have tried the mini's and the advances on my fusion lagoons. The minis did tend to bottom out on some on the more demanding scenes, enough for me to upgrade all to advances. The buttkicker advance has worked perfect for my uses. My installation includes rubber isolators on all chairs with the buttkickers bolted directly to the metal plate attached along the bottom of the chair.

I ordered 4 Tribute chairs last week and they were to be set to be delivered yesterday by Road Runner Transportation. I called the day they were to be delivered (yesterday) and they said they were sent back to the Dallas warehouse because they didn't deliever to my part of Texas. Sooo I call today and they say the chairs are sitting in the Dallas warehouse still and will be assigned to another company and they probably won't be here till after XMAS... Has anyone had experiences like this with the delivery company? Sorry just venting and I know it's getting close to the holiday weekend but surely a delivery company would know if they will delivery to a place before they accept the order??

Where are you going to get this kind of service from someone selling furniture? Roman you're awesome.

The day my chairs were to be delivered, the truck (an 18-wheeler) showed up with only one chair. And IT was the wrong style. One call to Roman and he manged to track down MY chairs somewhre in Ohio and get them headed back in my direction. Great service!

Chairs delivered today. Going to need help to get them downstairs.

Trying to mount the buttkicker advance BK 4-4s in the Escapes that I got from Roman. Would anybody be able to tell me if the hardware to mount the transducer to the plate came with their setup? If not, what would you recommend to mount them to the escapes?

The installation hardware (bolts and nuts) is not supplied if chose to install the buttkickers yourself. Chairs do come with the preinstalled plate and pre-drilled wholes for mini and BK4-4 buttkickers. The Guitammer also does not supply the amounting hardware with the buttkickers since they have no idea where you will be mounting them.

You can get 1/4 x 1 1/4 bolts and corresponding nuts in any hardware store, including Home Depot and a like, though...

I've finally gotten time to post a couple of pictures and an update on the delay on the delivery of my new Tribute Chairs. For whatever reason, the original shipipng company got as far as Dallas, TX with the chairs. It was determined from there that they had to be assigned to a different shipping company to get to our town. I have to say Roman did do as much as he could in tracking down the shipment and pushing them to get it delivered. However with the holiday fast approaching i'm sure the shipping companines were bey0nd busy. So as it stood on Friday morning the chairs had made it all the way to Odessa which is about 90 miles from me and they would be delivered next Thursday the 27th. I inquired about me picking up the chairs myself and they allowed me too as long as I made it before 5 PM. So needless to say I took off work at lunch and away I went!



The boxes were in really good shape still. Once in the garage it probably only took me an hour or so by myself to get them all put together.



I was very pleased when sitting in these seats for the very first time. My biggest question about these was a question a few other people had on the manual head recline. I was torn between chosing between the Tributes and the Escapes. After some input from my wife, I decided on the Tributes. They seemed to have a smoother cushion line with more support. I'm about 6'5" and my feet do hang off but i don't notice it very much. When i'm sitting in the chairs straight up the top of the chair is right at the base of my head. When i recline it's a perfect fit and the manual head support really works well. I was worried the weight of my head would not allow the adjustment to stay in place, however I haven't noticed any issues. Time will tell on if this will be an issue in the future.

Again I want to give props to Roman for doing what he could with the shipping company. He was very professional and friendly throughout the whole process. I wanted to get the chairs before XMAS and with them being stuck 90 miles away for a week, I opted to go get them and after sitting in them I'm really glad I did.

Roman - do any of the chairs have the ability to recline without the feet going up? Could any be adjusted to do this? If I try and squeeze them into my back row I'd want to be able to adjust the back but I wouldn't have room for the feet

Well after spending an hour reading this entire thread I'm placing these seats on the top of my list for consideration. Just purchased a house with a theater room which I've always wanted. I need to determine how many I can place in my space, 22' X 27', note the photo below. Also, I have to figure out if I want to go with the straight or curved configuration or a series of singles for more elbow room. With the curved do you have the ability to move them around and make a loveseat if desired?

Add me to the list of people that recently ordered the Escapes. After doing tons of research and shopping, I decided to pull the trigger on the Escapes (four chairs in curved config, black, vinyl/leather combo). Payment has been sent. Just waiting for Roman to get it and and ship them out. I will let you all know how they look when I get them.

Well I guess its my turn to fess up, after a 3 month search for 3 chairs to meet the demands of the wife and I, from the many well designed chairs out there we sat in, to the overwhelming reviews on the Fusion line , I gave Roman a call and we spoke at length on chairs and without even sitting in them I went all in and got three Fusion Escapes brown/ leather/vinyl match (new version) and I my hat hat comes off as these are hands down one of the most well thought out and designed chairs with a comfort level that exceeded mine and my wife's expectations, they are beautiful! for those wondering about the Shine on the Leather its perfect and of no concern.

Can someone w a fusion chair tell me the distance from the front of the chair, to the end of the feet. Specifically without reclining the back. So the back is in the normal up right position then the feet all the way up, just the length if the feet I got everything else from Roman already. Thanks!

What is the new version?

Roman can provide the details, but the new version of the chair changes a couple of items. The trays are aluminum instead of plastic and the chair comes with the buttkicker mounting plate already installed so that you can self install them easily. There is also a "lock" button on the cup holder that turns off the lights and prevents you from bumping a button. I think rest of the chair remains the same.

Just installed the buttkickers onto the mounting plates that came with my chairs. Took no time at all. Everything lined up perfectly. These things really shake. Played with a few movies tonight. Kids loved it almost as much as I did. All eight chairs in position. Screen and projector to be installed this week. Pics to follow when complete. Love the chairs. Only recommendation for future versions.... I'd like to know if the beverage cooler is on or off at a glance of the LEDs. Right now I have to check all eight cup holders after having guests to determine which coolers need to be turned off.

Love the lock button. I am about to put the Escapes on a Belkin Conserve Power Strip w/ Remote. It will solve my cup holder cooler issue and keep my kids from treating the chairs like Disneyland.

The cooler fan has a timer and will shut off automatically after 4 hours, so I would not worry too much about it. Think about the fan that is cooling the processor in your PC - these can go for years with no problems...
