I've been keeping an eye on Eastern Elite Audio Video (EEAV) and their upcoming releases. They are coming out with their first production line of two channel power amplifiers. They have not released the specs yet, but check out their website at http://www.ee-av.com. Their first two products are the Volta and the Ampere.

The VOLTA Stereo Power Amplifier

The Volta stereo power amplifier is named after Alessandro Volta, and aims to provide power to your speakers with a larger dynamic headroom by using a design optimized for voltage delivery. The loud, strong and powerful musical reproduction required by rock enthusiasts is effortless transferred to your speakers through this amplifier.

The AMPERE Stereo Power Amplifier

The Ampere is named for André Ampere, and aims to provide power to your speakers for superior musical fidelity by using a design optimized for current delivery. The rich timbre and clarity of sound delivered by this amplifier is ideal for lovers of jazz, R&B or classical.

Though their equipment has not yet been released for purchase, I wanted to start a buzz by creating this forum. Has anyone heard any other news? These are the same people who brought us B&K and now they have created their own company. I own B&K equipment so I'm expecting some great, high end gear from EEAV.

EEAV's website is really looking good. The Ampere and the Volta is now available for sale and specs are now listed.

Volta

EEAV is also offering some other products too. They have high end cables and even some in wall speakers. There is a link that they offer ATI-Amplifier Technologies and B&K Components Products equipment now, but the link takes you to their products page, but those products do not appear. This must be something that is coming soon.

Man, you are going to get ripped to shreds in these forums selling $300 power cords and $200 to $300 RCA cables?

The Tube amps look cool for sure. So what amp manufacturer lines do you think are your competion with these things?

John,

These seemed like reasonable questions, so I decided to email EEAV to see what they had to say. Below is what George Reamsnyder had to say.

"Sorry for the delay in my response but I was in meetings all day. The power cords and cables are made from high quality materials and are hand assembled by American workers. All cables are shielded and the interconnects use a twinax design that I do not see any other cable company using. Every set of cables and power cords are also checked by separate technicians after they have been assembled. E2 series cables also have a lifetime warranty and free shipping. Higher price to the product is the cost of doing business in the states and employing American workers and offering real support. The cost may come down as we increase quantity of cables sold.

With any of our products, cables or the amplifiers or future products, we are not trying to target markets or cost. We are making the products with the technologies and materials we would like to see. The sales price of the product is related to what it cost us for design, support and manufacturing. We are not trying to create competition with other companies. We have lots of respect for the other products out there and many of the designers are friends of ours, we are just trying to make the best possible product we can."
