Hi Everyone,

I am just replacing my current Sony HTIB and was recommended this for my apt. I am looking for bookshelves only, not towers.

HSU VTF-1
4x Infinity P163:
1x Infinity PC251:

How does this compare with the Boston Acoustics? I have heard great things about the CS26's.

HSU VTF-1
4x Boston Acoustics CS26C Bookshelf (Cherry):
1x Boston Acoustics CS225 Center Channel:

Thanks for the help!

Klipsch also makes good bookshelf speakers. In general they will handle more power and may fit into a larger system later on. They are all good quality.

You should PM zieglj01 as I'm pretty sure he's familiar with both the Bostons and Infinities.

Thank you for your response.

Can you give me an idea of which Klipsch bookshelf speakers you are talking about. I can go and check it out.

Thanks!

Energy RC-10's or CB-20's.

The RC's matching center is the RC-LCR and the CB's matching center is the CC-10.

Im not telling you to go buy them but just giving you something else to look into. If you aren't planning on powering those Infinitys with a stand alone amplifier then I would scratch them off the list. They need more power in order to really shine. They aren't the most efficient speakers if you know what I mean.

You really might consider 5 identical speakers. They will give you the best uniform sound.

Have Fun!

HSU HB-1 mk2's for $129 each on sale. To save money, some use three HB-1's across the front for identical speakers.

They also have a 5.1 package with the speakers and a VTF-1 sub called the Enthusiast 1 package.

I'd do that over and above the Klipsch bookselves in your price range or those Infinity's. They throw large, impressive sound for the money.
