I need some recommendations.

I have an Elite Cinewhite screen that I'm not happy with. I tried to order a Monoprice multi-format adjustable screen but they are back-ordered right now. I have a budget of absolutely no more than $800 shipped and I need to find a screen that has no hot-spotting and doesn't suck in general.

What type of projector, what kind of room (lighting, wall color, etc..), what size do you want, what aspect ratio, what do you watch on it, etc...? You really need to provide that information for people to make any sort of informed comment.

Yeah, I probably should. I'm looking for a white material with as much of a neutral gain as possible, a 120" inch screen, and a 16:9 fixed frame for my Epson 8350. I watch sports (hockey the most), movies and some light gaming.

How close is the projector to the screen?

If you are not too concerned about the frame the unit comes with, Da Lite has a 1.0 gain white screen that would work well. At that distance, i'd stay away from higher gain screens especially if you are prone to seeing hot spots.

I want some thing with at least a nice velvet trim. I may buy some da-lite screen material and build by own screen with some sort of manually adjustable masking system.

That would give you a nice image at a low cost!
