Oh Man, my favorite movie.

Tonight, you pukes will sleep with your subs. You will give your sub a girl's name because this is the only ULF you people are going to get. biggrin.gif

I prefer it over the Velodyne SMS-1 that I have. Plug and play. Very simple biggrin.gif

I thought the SMS-1 didn't really work that we'll with the lower frequencies?

They look great Jim, I personally love the finish of PSA subs. They blend into rooms really well and don't call out for attention, well at least until they start pumping out the base! The finish is very durable.

Nice looking setup Jim. Glad they are doing so well for you.. cool.gifcool.gif

I agree with the finish. I love it since it doesn't reflect any light. I'm not a fan of black gloss finished subs in a theater room. It feels very durable too. I would give it an excellent rating! smile.gif

I was never worried that I would like them, just had to get my mind around spending more! tongue.gif They are so tight & clean it amazes me. I can't wait to get them broken in so I can really get on them! They fit perfect where they are since they aren't any deeper than my towers, just what I wanted! biggrin.gif

Tom helped me alot with the decision to which EQ to buy...the sms1 is dated and only uses 1/3 octave which isnt accurate at all. It also only goes to 20hz.

While its great to be able to see the real-time FR...it isnt as good as antimode...although antimode ONLY deals with reducing peaks..where the sms1 you can raise dips (although not recommended) I also didn't care for the size of the unit of the sms1 as it was an odd depth and didn't allow for stacking. where the antimode is TINY and is put behind my credenza. so easy...plug and play...and works wonders!!

The sms1 is older by today's standards, it does do 15hz. I use it in conjunction with rew which makes a decent combination. Imho. I like making my own changes as needed rather than a "Auto Pilot" deal.

More kudos for Tom. I emailed him twice yesterday with questions about the packaging and un-boxing of the XS30. Both times, he responded within minutes. Minutes!

I know it wouldn't be reasonable to expect this kind of response all the time, but this guy seriously amazes me. Never had a business make me feel this cared-for. Ever. Not even when my wife and I bought a new car.

I just placed my order for the XV-15 last night...so I'll be sure to touch base with you around the end of next week to let you know how it turns out!

Cool, and congrats! The past few months have been pretty surprising and unexpected! Fixing my wife's car, now he A/C compressor was bad. Now, my car is having some issues with the EVAP!!!! At this rate, I don't think I'll ever get my XV30 mad.gif

Yeah, I knew from experience that moving a sub with rubber feet is difficult, especially on carpet. So, in preparation for the arrival of my XS30, I picked up those sliders. As soon as I un-boxed it, I put those under the feet. From there it was very easy to move it around.

I have to agree. Pictures don't really do justice to that finish. It looks a lot nicer in person. I like it.

Hi all,

Quick update on the back orders...

The XV15s that are back -ordered should be shipping out early-mid next week.

We still have a few XS30s in stock.

Look for a couple updates on the website regarding the Power-X lineup later today/tomorrow.

is 225.00 a fair deal on a 8033c used? my subs are equal distance so i believe it should work for me.

Welcome to the PSA family!! There is a great bunch of guys here! For room correction its hard to say unless you measure, but from what others have posted antimode does a much better job with sub correction than audyssey. I believe the xt32 version with sub eq ht is pretty good, but only avr's up around 1500.00+ range on average have it.

That was true until very recently. Denon has a new model out. The AVR-X4000. MSRP is $1,299 (which means it can be had for less, if you shop around, maybe a lot less if you wait for sales later in the year). The X4000 has Audyssey MultEQ XT32, Sub EQ HT, Dynamic EQ, Dynamic Volume, and LFC (Low Frequency Containment). The XT32, Sub EQ, and LFC were mostly available only in top-tier models before this.

In fact, it's kinda hard for Denon to justify the price of their own flagship receiver, now that this one is out.
