Hello Everyone,

I wanted to chime in and provide a little background info for those interested.

I started at SVS in 2001 as an assembler while working my way through college. In 2003 I received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science degree, with a major in Electrical Engineering Technology. This was about the same time I was promoted from assembler to R/D. My main responsibilities were system design and analysis. I took over as head of R/D in late 2007 when Tom left, and held that position until I resigned in March of 2008.

Oh, and I never worked for Toyota.

Welcome to AVS, Jim. I am eager to see what you guys are coming up with.

It's always nice to have another Jim...

So when do you peel back the cloak of secrecy and show us what you're working on? We won't tell anyone.

We are making progress but, we can't release any information right now. Tom and I both have the same opinion about announcing a new product (or products
), we won't make the announcement until we can offer specific details. That means when the orders have been placed and the product exists. We will never participate in vaporware.

Unfortunately, we will not be at CES.

I look forward to seeing what PSA will bring to the table!

Was hoping to have a little more info as we are about to go into spring.

Same here. I was hoping we would have something. But these things take time. and knowing Tom he won't let something he isn't happy with out for sale. And I know he mentioned PSA is trying not let information out until they are really ready.

Hi all,

We've recently signed off on the last major component(many thanks to Scott Atwell at Fi). This process took quite a bit longer than hoped, but the end result made it more than worth the time/effort. More info will soon follow regarding the PowerX line and its upcoming launch.

Hello Tom. I've been one of your followers for many years. Back before you and Ron started SVS. I remember you starting the Nousaine List, which is still around.

I was wondering if you and Jim Farina would have any interest in submitting your first subwoofer product to Josh Ricci who is doing some subwoofer testing for Audioholics. He seems to know how to conduct a meaningful test-review of subwoofers.

I can't say for certain whether Gene DellaSala would be inclined to accept your product for review, but the worst he can say is "not at this time."

I for one am looking forward to the release of your first product...

Thanks Tom.

PS - You were extremely helpful to me many years ago when I was shopping for a sub (my first ID dealer purchase ever; I was a bit nervous about it). I ended up purchasing the SVS 16-46PC+ and am still enjoying it very much today!
