Hey Tom...just want to say howdy ! You also helped me buy a sub back when ya'll just started & its still kicking ass. I also remember the pics you sent me when you had left SVS & was working on your Chevy's (you still playing with 'em ?).
Can't wait to see what ya'll are doing. I'm sure you will have outstanding products.

Wow, that XV30 looks like a lot of sub for the money. It's always great to see another ID company open up shop. Can't wait to see some reviews for these porducts!cool.gif

How are you guys getting around port chuffing from a single 4" port with a 15" woofer and 500 watts? I'm assuming you would place the HPF above the tuning point as a way to cheat this?

That XS15 really is a great deal.

That is basically what each of my boosted 500 watt sealed 15"s is capable of, so the specs seem extremely accurate. My subs also cost about $475 each to build. These are only $200 more then a DIY equivalent, very good deal (shipping might make that a bit worse).

Looks like some great specs on the new subs. Any plans to build any cylinder versions? I really like the form factor of a cylinder enclosure. The small footprint, tall cylinder works better in my room; love my ole SVS 16-46 PC+ that Tom sold to me, but now I wish I had bought a pair of them.

Ahh the 16-46. I used it for a little and loved it! Gave it to a friend so he could have dual 16-46s in his room. They are awesome!

I had to email them to get a quote, same day response. Two of the sealed subs are roughly $1750 all in shipped to Ottawa.

The question I hope we can have answered. How dose PSA's new power x line compare to the competition? Such as SVS Ultra 13. Because I know for many people that was and still is a highly respected product. I also wonder how this will compare to the bigger stuff from people like JTR and Seaton....ecte

It seems like everyone is the sub woofer business lately and there seems to be no shortness on competition.

I will say I'm glad to see PSA went right to 15 inch drivers. They skppped the issue of pushing a huge amount of SLP from 12 inch drivers. But we also know PSA can surly go with an overbuilt driver like the Ultra 13 if they need to.

XV30 = Legacy Audio Point One Subwoofer with a hole in it .......for about half the price of a Point One.

The question is...does it stand up to a Point One ?smile.gif

Actually the comparison appears to be closer to an old SVS PBplus/2 on steroids. The entire Power X line resembles the old SVS line up before going front firing. But that Point one sub looks rather nice.

Barney----Still got a couple old hot rods, (sold two)....just no time to cruise!..smile.gif

Jay---regarding the 4" port. Nothing "magical" to be sure. Jim and I have learned a couple little "tweaks" over the years that help a bit. But the new DSP frontend on our amplifiers is really the key here. The control we have now is amazing. I definitely wouldn't call it high pass filtering...but there is some minor signal manipulation. As always, it's just an overall balancing act.

Saturn94---Jim and I don't like to hype up "vaporware". We are working on a few different things(who isn't?) that are quite interesting. Once we are close to shipping (within a month for example) we'll tend to be more talkative on the specifics.
