Well it ended up being six airports, eleven days, two rental cars, and eleven airport visits - with the grand awesomeness of two back-to-back 24-hour periods of no sleep, separated by one night of sleep of about 7 hours.
Between that post (yesterday?) and now, we added a flight to SAV and a 4 hour drive (starting at 1:20 AM) back to Atlanta. Later today, we tack on one more trip to ATL to return the rental car and pick up the car we had left in the long term parking, plus the bags that are waiting there for us (we hope).

And yes, you're right, of course. LGA
Trips through airports: (1) ATL for first missed - bumped - flight; (2) ATL to (3) MUC; back next day to (4) MUC with car trouble and delayed baggage; (5) FRA to return car; bumped next day from flight from (6) FRA; next day caught flight from (7) FRA to (8) JFK; next day caught last flight from (9) LGA to (10) SAV; today return to (11) ATL for rental car, baggage, and personal car - all in all, a massive pain and way more trouble than it was designed to be.Edited by HopefulFred - 1/6/14 at 7:54am
