So I have 16 of the red/tan panels, 6 x 1/2 round bass tubes, a bunch of foam diffusion panels and a curtain wall to fill with pink stuff.
I hope this makes a difference but to be honest I've not noticed any real sound problems except when I get the subs too high and they make the entire screen wall vibrate. wink.gif

^Very nice work.

The space inside false walls is a commonly underutilized area for acoustic treatment.

If you have any extra material in the end consider filling the false screen wall also. Spaced off the wall that far will work very well as a broadband treatment on you length modes.

So how's your experience with FlexRAID going, it looks like most of my UnRAID problems were being caused by the old chassis I was trying to use, the new one works great. smile.gif

Good idea, I'll see what I have left, unfortunately it looks like my screen wall is 24" studs too so it won't be as easy as I'd hoped (the insulation is 15" wide).

I was planning on covering the fireplace and installing the fourth set of panels over it to hide it but now we've taken a good look at the fireplace it looks like we're going to leave it as is.

The comedy of errors continues, guess what I found when I was drilling to install the cable for re second set of surround speakers......

Turns out it's a structural column so the wood underneath the Sheetrock is 4-6" thick, I haven't the remotest idea how to find my fishtail/wire guide that's somewhere in the wall.

Gave up on my nightmare pillar an decided to install the other wall 2nd side surround speaker. Of course that one wasn't straight forward either as there's horizontal framing inside the wall because of the fireplace which prevents me from running the speaker cable inside the wall to the level of the speaker but the accoustic panels mask the workaround.

Turns out my fishtail isn't in there somewhere, it's inside a completely different column 6' away, I drilled through the floor from the basement into the wrong column................!
