Is that 2280HD a PC monitor or a TV?

Shucks, I guess it is a PC monitor with a built-in TV tuner. I have it mounted on an articulating wall mount in the garage in use as a TV only at this time.

I would suspect that any TV/PC monitor in the range of 19 through 26 or so inches would primarily be used as a PC monitor and sold that way. I guess that would explain the poor vertical viewing range.

It makes me wonder further why the Sharp 26 inch doesn't have a tilt stand as virtually all PC monitors do. I wouldn't recommend the Sharp for use as a TV as the stand doesn't tilt or pivot and being a very skinny unit, the speakers are pointing down.

I do have a Hannspree 28 inch TV which I use primarily as a TV in my computer area and it is also connected to my spare/test PC for those times when I want to try out some new hardware or software without screwing up my main PC. It works great for that and, for relatively low price, is what I would recommend for someone with a limited budget. Not sure I would recommend it for primarily a bedroom TV if budget was not a consideration.

I don't know what I would get for that situation but suspect that if budget wasn't a consideration, I might still get it and add a nice sound system to it.

Sorry, I'm rambling again..........

I have this set mounted on an articulating arm. It has to be tilted full down to view.

Okay all knowing beeb, take a look at these screenshots and tell me what you think. First shot is from apx. 30 degrees above, second shot is straight on level and last shot is from 20 degrees below (as set with the yardstick on the protractor). Sharp tells me the vertical viewing field is 150 degrees.

The articulating arm is set at level just for the pics. Even adjusted down the picture washes out as I move around the kitchen.

Yea, most call those TV/monitors. Marketing calls them whatever they want to. Just about all sets sold now have VGA inputs. Are all of those PC monitors?
Nope.

I do not recommend this tv at all.

I tried to connect pc to it through hdmi, the pc cannot detect it all, tried all 3 hdmi ports, none working. I suspect the tv is not sending out its EDID at all!

Crappy TV!
