I got a set of Monitor 70, Monitor 40 and a CS2 last weekend. Now I need a Sub.
Please suggest one under $1000. I would prefer wireless, but if there are distinct advantages to going wired i can do that.
My reciever is a Pioneer VSX 1021K

I'll use it for Movies and Music 50/50

You might also look at the Outlaw Audio LFM-1 EX. You can purchase a wireless setup with it for a discount at the same time for $724 plus shipping. Also check the Outlaw Owners Thread for info on the Private Black Friday sale.

Here's a recent review on the EX:

The review on audioholics suggests its good for a 5000 sqft space. Mine is a relatively small room and i do not listen at very high volumes either.

Some people suggested a relatively cheaper Polk PSW505 that was on sale with the speakers. whats the take on that.

No. It's 5,000 cubic feet. Your room is most be at least 4,000 cubic feet (if not more, depending on the ceiling height).

Not if you have $1000 money to spend on a subwoofer. Something from HSU with make you a lot happier

If you are looking for sales, HSU has a the ULS-15 on sale for $999 plus $69 shipping.

I would appreciate input from others, but this strikes me as a pretty righteous sub for $1000.

A step above the PSW505, but below the other subs mentioned so far. Best to get two.
