Simple sound questions

1) Does a speaker selector switch exist that I can control with my harmony remote? IE: Listen to music and have speakers throughout my house auto turn on that is affordable?

2) What is the best solution to wire microphones around the house so when talking I could be like "Computer play rock music on all speakers" and rock music starts playing. Then be like computer turn off all lights and interfacing with my current mi casa verde, shuts off all lights.

Is this doable? Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Try looking at http://www.x10.com.
I'm not sure whether they have exactly what you're asking for, but they are heavily into home automation.

The microphone idea sounds cool, but what will happen if the program you're listening to has the performer say certain words like "Mute" or "Louder" or "Lights out". That could play havoc with your system. (You should see what happens to our christmas tree lights when they're hooked up to "The Clapper" and I play music at a certain volume)
