Hi everyone

im new to the home cinema thing just brought a Beamax m screen which i had been advised to do. Now the expensive bit the projector which one do i choose? i have an upper limit budget of £2000 the projector will be connected via component to a russound Vm1 (1080p) so the projector needs to be full HD. i was looking at the epson eh tw4400 which was a really good contrast ratio of 130000:1 but i really am stuck. £2000 is a lot of money to justify to her in doors. one last thing the room it is to be mounted in is bright (lots of windows) and the unit will be 3m from the screen

many thanks all

You may want to post in the digital projector sections of this forum. This section covers CRT projectors. In any case, bright rooms and projectors are not a good combination and will take away much of that coveted 130,000:1 contrast ratio.

I concur. Spend the money on a plasma or LED, not a projector.
