Setting up a new surround sound system

Alright well its been a while since I was here.. recently bought a 65inch panasonic plasma and loving every minute of it! Hands down.. best TV I ever owned. Now we have a old surround sound system.. it was a old Sony home theater in a box.. no HDMI or anything along those terms. Its getting old and its just not up to par as in today's movies.

I am on a budget roughly around $700. I know its not a lot and more money would buy better sound. But I am anything has got to be better than the crappy sony system we have.

So here is what I am planing on buying:

Front left & right channels: Sony SS-B3000 Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) $74

Rear (Surround) left & right channels: Sony SS-B1000 5 1/8-Inch Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) $43

Middle channel speaker: Sony SS-CN5000 Dual Center Channel Speaker $70

Subwoofer: BIC America F12 12-Inch 475-Watt Front Firing Powered Subwoofer $200

Audio Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR609 7.2 Channel Network THX Certified A/V Receiver $379

Would this be a pretty good setup? If you have any suggestions, please let me know, but understand that my budget is around $700

Thanks for your reply.. that speaker/sub package looks like they are pretty high end. They must give much fuller sound system than the 2003 Sony HT-5500D home theater in a box.

I know the Energy's ones are just satellite speakers and I wanted to go with some full range speakers.. but if these Energy's speakers produce much higher quality sound than those Sony bookshelfs and the ones I currently have.. I'm all game. Plus in movies likes Transformers the bass just rattles like crazy.. sounds like crap. I'm the one that comes with the Energy's package is much better.

What does everyone else think about the Energy's Take Classic 5.1 system?
