That's the best price, however, I live in NY. With tax, it's around $6500.

As simple Google Search in Shopping (input zipcode) shows the best deal is $6300, no tax and free shipping. At least three merchants are offering that deal.

What's the best price on the Elite 70 or 60 now?

Seller "barkingspider1" on eBay has the 60 for 4575 and the 70 for 6550, free shipping to lower 48. 705 ratings and 100% positive. He (?) also has a 30-day defective return policy with seller paying return shipping. I'm keeping an eye on his listings as I amass my small fortune to buy one.

I would bite at $3799 for the 60 and $5799 for the 70 wishful thinking on my part. Perhaps in September.

I just threw in the towel on my third Sony 65hx929. I got a Elite 70 from my nearest dealer for 5999.00, I went to his store and he demo'd the Elite 60 and it looked great. I just wish the 80 was out.

I'm assuming the lower prices are trying to clear inventory for new 2012 models. Has anyone heard when the 2012s will be shipping or if there major changes in the new version?

I don't know prices, but I just saw new 60" and 70" Elite TVs being set-up at VE in Scarsdale, NY for the shootout. They looked great and were not even calibrated yet. The store was testing them in the THX Movie mode.

Not sure why but they had removed the ones they had wall mounted and replaced them with the new ones.

Does anyone beat $4066 for the 60" from East Coast TVs? I've seen a lot of helpful posts from Chris, but I'm guessing they are still higher.

$6100 before taxes at my 2nd Best Buy here today, but had to play hardball at my 2nd Best buy. Felt like I was buying a car there. First Best buy brushed me off in a condescending way. 36 months no financing. They let me pick up same day at the warehouse 10 minutes away!

Same for me at best buy as well. I asked about build date and apparently all they had in stock were Sept 2011 units? Looks amazing regardless. Love it.

Question: After all talk about warranty, has anyone who purchased at bb purchased a black tie protection plan as well. Knowing of course extended warranty's and their ugly side, is this plan worth looking at?

I didn't realize their price was for cashier checks only, so that price isn't what a typical person would pay anyway. I am probably going to wait a little longer to see what happens, but I hope to give you a call in the future. Thank you for the response.

If you are considering buying from Chris (Cleveland Plasma), I would highly recommend him. I called him on a Monday and ordered a 60" Elite and it was in my living room that Thursday (west coast). Good price and the whole order took about three minutes on the phone.

Try to go to best buy and make them price match East Coast TV for $4150? My best buy can price match that price in GA

Got my local Best Buy down to $4200 on the 60 so I went ahead and ordered it.

The last TV I had that I was truly happy with was the Samsung UN55B8500 but it was too small.

Since then I have tried plasma and various LED edge lit LCD's and been unimpressed with all of them.

The ELITE I saw in the store looked incredible so I am excited that my TV hunt is finally over.

Moral of the story: Don't bother trying to save money just buy the ELITE and be done with it.

WOW... Just talked to Cleveland Plasma about the Elite Prices. They definitely have the best price on the Elites. I am going to place an order with them soon if my family permits. Call Chris and you'll be amazed.
