Thread Starter
just bought an optoma gt750 and im wanting to make a 120" screen.

the biggest blackout fabric i could find was 54" wide so the biggest screen i could make was 100"

everything seems to bright like theres a white haze. is there a better material to use? i dont want to spend alot of money but i want the best picture i can get for around $100 or less. theres no ambient light in the room also. and i cant paint the wall itself im mounting the screen infront of 2 windows. thansk for the help

There are other materials out there, but if you want blackout cloth in larger sizes, try an ebay search for "blackout cloth".

Painted Sintra would work well for your situation, projector and budget. Or check out painting this substrate - http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1356321. If you can't get those materials, you could paint the BOC. Just make sure you can re-stretch it after painting. The paint that I would use - http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...4#post11975374.

Also considering your projector's specs, I wouldn't want a screen larger than 100" unless the viewing distance is over 15'.

Stick to the "Sintra" suggestion. It's well founded.
