Good deal for Receiver

Looking to replace my Onkyo SR 507. Have been looking at the Denon 2112 or the Pioneer 1021 at $300 caught my eye. Was hoping to get a 7.2 receiver at the 300-400 price range. Any suggestions? I would like to keep the option open of adding a second sub in the future. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

you can add a second sub to any receiver with a dedicated sub output, that's not a big deal.

What speakers/sub do you have and what is the size of the room?

Have Energy CF-30 fronts, Energy CC5 Center, Orb audio rears and a BicPL200 Sub(Which I am looking to upgrade.

Room size is about 15 x 12 with one side open to the rest of the house. Thanks.

Can you add the second sub with an RCA splitter? Thx

I would look at the Yamaha rx-a800 or rx-a700. They're both 7.2.

How do those compare to the Pioneer 1021?

Yes. All you need is something like this.

or the dirt cheap version.
