Thanks.

I think I managed.
First I went to the store where I bought it. They said I had to call Geek Squad. I called them and they wanted to send their tech to look at it to see if he could replace it.
He came over, looked at it and took a couple of pics. He said they can't fix it since Sharp doesn't provide them with back panels to replace. He opened a ticket with Sharp and send them the pics. I was suppose to hear back from Sharp withing 2-3 business days. That never happened.
Called Geek Squad again and told them to just give me a replacement already. I told them their tech told me it's not fixable, but of course he didn't put that in his notes. So they didn't want to give me a replacement.
That's when I started to get upset with them. I requested to talk to a supervisor (Misty at the escalations department). After I got one, they still didn't want to give me a replacement. She told me that I needed to go back to the store to see if they would give me a replacement (the store was the one that told me to call them in the first place). So I got on to them that they promised hassle free returns/exchanges, per their commercials (I bought my TV the day that started), through the end of January.
Again, she told me it was up to the store, if the would honor that. So asked for her name and let her know I was going to go to the store and if they redirect me back to them, I was going to have the store itself call them right then and there (the wait times are VERY long) and ask for her specifically. So I asked her to put in her notes that she directed me back to the store and that they couldn't do anything. Supposedly, the Best Buy stores can't access the systems to see the notes.
A couple of days later I get a call. It's Best Buy and they gave me a confirmation number to take to any Best Buy to exchange the TV! I haven't gone yet (might go today) but I'm assuming that should give me an easy exchange.
