Panasonic TC-P46ST30: Good deal on Amazon?

I'm looking for a new 42-46 in 1080p display for the much smaller living room in my new condo. (I was previously seated 12 feet away from a 51" 720p DLP.) Amazon has the panny 46ST30 on sale for $880 shipped, plus 24-month financing with no interest. This sounds like a great deal, but I want to be sure first: What do the AVS experts think?

On a side note, I'd almost prefer a good LCD because of the daytime brightness of this new living room, but I didn't see any great deals in my size range. I know LCD deals are in another forum, but if I'm missing some obvious deal, I'd appreciate anyone replying with it.

I think 880.00 is a bit much, keep looking. I know the 55 ST30 could be bought today at Target for 999.99. I would want that TV in the 600 price range to pull the trigger. I see a 50 inch for 599 if that isnt too big, here are the best deals chart.

having the same problem as you.. I need the 46" and the st30 looks great, but the price of the 46 is almost equal to the 50 and 55 inch models.. surely someone should put the 46 on sale??

Is the 46" an odd size? Seems like everyone needs a smaller 42" or they rationalize the 50" isn't that much more which is what I did ;-)

of people have the 46 LED or LCD.. i would love to go with the 50" but my solid oak stand with a hutch top that houses my Denon Reciever and everything else will not permit it..

46" seems to be readily available for LCDs/LEDs, but with plasmas its not as popular a size as the 42" and 50"+
Usually the 46" plasma models aren't in stock often in the stores and you have to special order them.

I think the 46" come from the same size glass as the 50", just cut down to 46" so there isn't really a cost advantage to the 46" and why there are seldom any good deals in that size.

Me too. Also with 24-months interest-free financing for your entire order. So I bought the Panny 210 BD player and a Yamaha receiver. With the financing deal, I don't expect a better deal this season. Sweet.
