That's hard to say.
My X70 runs for 99% in normal lamp mode for watching 2D movies.
The short time I've used high lamp mode was for check the X70 generally and for a couple minutes of 3D test-watching, and some contrast ratio/grayscale testing. Especially for the last point I start to perceive this issue within the grayscale mid range, and as you know, if you see this once, you get sensitive to this. So since this I can perceive it as well within the gray OSD ... but I hope not within watching 3D movies (therefore I use the high lamp mode at the moment)
I'm afraid when the bulb get's darker after some hundred hours of runtime, I have to use the high lamp mode also for watching 2D films, and then the risk will rise to perceive this pulsing more times.
But I want to say quite clearly: This should not be at such a price range!
Cause it's not a point to get picket by calibrating like RGB gamma issues - this pulsing you can't get solved at home.
I have not seen any other brand with such a pulsing.
