I have a PACE DVR with a Universal Electronics remote. I recently received a replacement for the remote, however, I seem to have lost the ability to program a 30 second fast forward skip.
I had previously programmed this by pressing the setup button for 2 seconds until the light blinked twice followed by 994 at which time the light blinked twice again (and then followed some additional programming steps). However, with my new remote, the 994 command does not appear to work. I press the setup button for 2 seconds until the light blinks twice, and then enter the 994 command but the red light only blinks once and it does not allow me to enter the additional programming commands. The two remotes are the same but the model numbers are different. The old one has a model number of 1056B01 and the new one is 1056B03. Did they remove the ability to program this remote?
