Man, this is like doubling down at the Blackjack tables in Vegas. I'm not looking to buy a large screen until this summer, but this thread is pretty exciting.

Darn it, I want to move to there, not to mention the bonus of nice weather ! Electronics are so expensive in Canada.

I am pretty tempted to go a completely different route than the LED and just get a Mits DLP 82 inch for $1900.

Local Costco also has LC70-LE733 on sale for $2,399. In terms of picture quality, how much better is LC-LE733?

Massive set and good price, to be sure, but in my experience with them, the drastic shifts in brightness and color caused by sitting anywhere other than the sweet spot area were worse than LCD. Also, can't compete with the brightness of LCD. And LCD has little to no warmup period, by comparison to the HID bulbs uses in DLP sets. (and no bulbs to burn out)

All that said, no other way to get a picture that big without a projector (which needs a light-controlled environment).

Good day all. Say with Best Buy selling the LC70LE632U for $1999 i am wonderin what is the difference between the 632U and the 732U other than the 732U having Quattron. I have been targeting the 732U but the 632U price is very tempting!! I did a compare from Sharps website and saw a huge different in power usage and maybe weight but that's about it. I am not interested in 3D and 120hz will do me just fine. Just wondering what I might be missing out on with the 632 vs the 732. I am hoping to pull the trigger on an update from my old 50" Sony GWIII for the Super Bowl. Thoughts??

I picked up the LC70LE632U for $1799 yesteday at Sears.com. I applied a 10% coupon I bought off ebay for 99 cents. Have to select store pickup in order for the coupon to work. Heck of a deal!

As an added bonus I bought Sears gift cards from a local grocery to get gas rewards. So including that benefit of free gas, my out the door with tax was $1650.

Ok here's the deal, I can get the 632 from Paul's for 2000, same price as Best Buy minus the 9% tax and free shipping, but BB does have it in stock. Or I could get the 732 from Amazon for 2350 and free shipping, which would only be 170 more than buying the 632 locally at BB. Thoughts or comments as which way to go?

Your call...don't really need the 732 unless you want the Quattron, which doesn't seem to do anything, and may even make the PQ worse.

Yeah I wish my local Sears had one as I have a 150.00 gift card to use.

How about the Aquomotion 240 feature on the 733, even though most people leave the motion enhancement turned off would the 733 do better with motion blur?

HHgregg has the same deal at $1999. If you sign up for their e-mail list you receive a 10% off coupon. I just did this 2 days ago = $1799 and no sales tax because I am picking it up in Delaware. I am just waiting for the e-mail to tell me that it is ready.

Thread Starter
I take delivery of my 735 on Tuesday between 1-5PM. Very Excited to finally recycle the old DLP. For me, it was worth the upgrade over the 632. I figured even if I got it at sears for 1800, there's tax on that so the difference from what I paid was about $600-700. Worth it to me. But to each his own.

Anyway, I get my Outlaw Sub sometime next week as well so now I'm just in the market for some good Blu Ray's. Thor looks promising. Oh by the way, I have my 3D glasses even before the TV which is pretty funny. Others do it the other way around.

From everything I've read, it's just marketing hype. Again, just repeating what I've read in various threads here...

I was thinking of doing the same, saving about $108 in taxes!

Wow thanks for this tip. Going to hold the 10% coupon until the 80" is down to $4000 again and then strike...

EDIT - just got the coupon (thanks again!) but now am sorely tempted to just get the 70". $1800 is extremely cheap. Hate to have buyers remorse though. Size matters (TWSS).

Anyone know - can you call and haggle with hhgregg, then apply the coupon??

ok, change of plans. I canceled my order with HHGregg because the order has been pending for 3 days. When I called to find out why, they werent able to tell me when it would be available for pick up and gave me an attitude for asking. I bought a 10% off coupon for Sears on ebay for 99 cents. (thanks for the tip fkmitch99). So the new deal is the LC70LE632U for $1999. minus 10% = $1799 then I used my Sears card for another 5% savings total =$1709. I also went through mr rebates to get and additional 5% but I wont get that for 90 days. I am picking this up on Saturday morning in Delaware to save sales tax. Im pretty happy with the deal.

All, Just tried to order the LC70LE632U from Sears with a 10% off coupon i got from ebay. Sears.com would not apply it. Had Store Pickup selected. Now what to do?!?!
clear your cookies. there are two places to put the code in. try the one you didnt use the first time. worked for me and a few others. good luck
post #175 of 442
Cleared cache in 2 different browsers (IE and Chrome) and even did an order in Privacy/incognito mode and no go. Suppose I could have gotten bad codes. Will see if anyone else posts a success or failure in the next few days before I try again, maybe even get new codes. Good thing they are only 99cents :

I tried it too, said it didn't work but when I went to the next page on checkout it had applied it. Try it.

Glad I could help. The 2 darn Sears stores near me don't have a 632 in stock, sucks. Where are you located at?
Well I decided to try a different zip code on Sears store finder, city near me has 3 in stock. Sooooooo, $1999.99, -10% code, -5% for using Sears card, plus tax, -$150.00 gift card means I'm out the door at $1692.51 for a 632. I'm a very happy camper! Yahoo!
