Sharp 70" Deals - Page 7

Harley - many, many thanks for the tip

I ordered the set from BB online and it was shipped to the store this week...I then found it for less at Costco but my local store did not have any in stock and I did not want to have it shipped to my house. Then I came across Harley's post and went on ebay last night and purchased the coupon for .99

Called sears today (they route you to a central location) and ordered the set over the phone and used the coupon code for 10% off. Received my confirmation email 20 minutes later and drove over to sears which is 10 minutes away. Sears was dead quiet and it took 3 minutes to get the TV from the back warehouse. Out the door for $1799.99 (No tax in NH) and now I'm watching the Celtics game on the big screen - very nice.

Thanks again for the tip.

Also, don't think this would have fit in the back of my 4 door Jeep Wrangler with the seats down but it fit perfectly in the bed of the truck.

Anyone know how to find out what my build date it?

Guess I need to call BB and cancel my order now (they would not price match with Costco (online) so I gave up on them.

Want to give a shout of thanks to you for this amazing tip. Thank you very much!

You're welcomed but I wasn't the one that originally posted the tip, but glad I could help. Going for mine tomorrow.

Do you have a link to the ebay auction that you purchased the coupon from?

Can also use fatwallets to get an additional 4%.

No problem. With the price dropping to 1899 tomorrow, do you think Sears will do the price adjustment even though we used the coupon?

They likely wont but it all depends on the store. Ive seen some stores do it and other stores wont. If you use a coupon to get a discount you arent suppose to be allowed to get another discount or if they do allow it, they r suppose to take the discount off the tv and see if the price is below the sale price. If it is, then you can get the difference, if not then you cant get anymore off. This is all done before tax.

I don't see why not - all they did is drop the price, which they already did 1 time from $2799 to $1999 and now to $1899. I'd say no if they were price matching and would not let you use the coupon.

If they say no then what's to stop us from returning the set tomorrow and then buying it for $1899 and then use the 10% off coupon?

Hi. Picked up my 70" Sharp earlier today, hooked it up and man what a difference from what I had. I want to properly thank the forum for all the help! Glad i was able to get this TV. It looks spectacular! I will have to talk to Sear's tomorrow and see if i can get that price adjustment since they are lowering it by $100. Either way very happy with the purchase! Thanks all!!

Can someone post the dimensions of the box that the tv comes in? Want to know if I need to borrow a truck or if it'll fit in a mini-van.

best buy has it for $1899.

I tried using the coupon code suggested earlier in the thread, but it wouldn't work. As stated elsewhere in the thread, there are two places to enter the code. I tried it in both the first stage and at the checkout screen. I got the message, "The coupon code you entered doesn't apply to the items in your order." Any ideas what is going wrong here? Is there a third place to enter it? Is the code not good with the sale price that just went into effect 1/29?

I was told by my local Best Buy that my store was out of stock, that those stores that have them are not willing to transfer them, and that they are just about all gone (for good). If your store has them and you're planning to get one there, you'd better hurry.

It says ship to store, and will let me buy it that way.

I just tried the 10% off also.. doesnt work.. I have to assume the fine print must say that you cant use it on closeouts.. but since I only have the code and
not the printout.. I have no clue.. anyone got a copy of the coupon ?

I guess I should have used the coupon yesterday.. got $200 off.. thats better than the $100 they offer today... guess we all got greedy.. ha ha ha

Hhgregg still 2000 and you get a 10% coupon for registering on the site. $1800 delivered.

And BB does still show 1900 plus tax delivered. I took it all the way to check out to make sure, set up a date and everything. Didn't pull the final trigger but total was $2040 with tax. MIGHT be inclined to do BB even though more than hhgregg assuming it'd be somewhat easier to exchange if I have any issues.

Still eying the 80" though!

anyone got a sears.com code that worked ? I assume its the same number on the coupon for everyone.. and we just need one that worked.. the ones I have will work in the store.. but I need a real coupon to give them, and I just have the codes.. when you buy of ebay do they really send the actual coupon also ?

so if anyone has a code they used, let me know I would love to use it online
and get this purchase done..

thanks..

The coupon codes are unique, and good for a single use only, so nobody can share their code with you. Regardless, someone above mentioned that the coupon no longer works with the new discounted priced of $1899.

Sears today lowered the Sony 55" LED 3D NX720 to $1499.88. Good price since it was a $3000 at one point. Also it uses gorilla glass for those who like that.
FYI: While the code does not work for today's sale on the 632, it still works for the 732, bringing it down to $2,339.99.
So after coupon and the adjustment, got it for $1699 plus tax! No hassle over the adjustment either.
I ordered from Sears for in store pickup and got it 1/26 for 1999. Called Sears.com today and they refunded the $100+tax difference. Was very easy!
