Print out Sears shopping cart showing $1,799 price, go to HHGregg to pickup TV and ask for price match at that time.

From what others are saying, I should expect this to work and they (theoretically) will price match to $1799 then apply 10% coupon to get me into that $1,600 plus tax range?

Does anyone see a reason this wouldn't work before I do it?

thx

Its not suppose to work but no harm in trying. If it works then you beat the system. Mainly because some associate out their dont know there job or have a clue what they r doing, they just do it. There r also clueless managers too, who just aprove anything.

Sears is back to 2800 for the 632.

Box measurements 69.5" x 43.5" x 11.5"

Sears still has them for $1799 once you get to the checkout page. Says right on the product page 'price will display at checkout' and they have $2799 crossed out.

Nope, they are back to $2600. I just picked up mine today, ordered it yesterday, so got the 1799.00 price.

I just checked sears online and it came out at $1799 plus free shipping, also a local store had four in stock at that price.

Thanks for the input, TXrattler.

It actually did work pretty much exactly like I was hoping!!

Purchase price on HHGregg.com was $1,905 ($1,999 with 10% new customer coupon after registering on their site).

They price matched Sears at $1,799 and applied coupon there, so today my credit card got $190 back on the $1,905 above.

Total price out the door ~ $1,715 after tax!! It's in my garage right now.

Can't wait to hook this Beast up!!

BTW, for anyone in South FL, this was the HHGregg on Sunrise Blvd. Dave was the manager who was great to work with and Tamara was the customer service person who helped me out!

cheers

Going to call bb Tonmorow and see if they will price match the 1799. Save me another 50 bucks

Fwiw the 80" deal at US-A is still good the morning after the Super Bowl. Hopefully this bodes well for further price reductions going forward.

Looking to get one of these "lc70le735u - SHARP 70" 240hz 3D" - any bundled deals for this. I saw lc70le735u + 2 3D glasses + mount = 2699 $$ (but expired ).
It was last week at bransmartusa.com

My order from yesterday is still processing at Best Buy for the 632, they have been notorious lately for cancelling items, if this really is on closeout I hope that doesn't happen. I see no sign that Best Buy is clearancing them out. They still offer either ship to home or ship to store.

Timing was good because my Rewards Zone needed some more purchases to stay in the top level, which is worth it to me to keep going.

How did you guys get the 36 months instead of 18 months same as cash?

They currently have the best price going on the 735. I'm not sure if the deal is still on, but it was like $2550 (with 2% discount) shipped last i checked. My brother-in-law has purchased two dozen tvs from EastCoast for his bars over the past two years and loves them. He was initially referred by his AV guy who does installs for restaurants and bars in the Philadelphia area and uses ECTVs exclusively as his supplier... so I've heard all good things about them.

I just spoke with a sales guy there yesterday regarding the 70-735 and the 80-732" and thought he was very straight-forward and knowledgable about the products. I plan to purchase my 70 or 80 from them once i make the decision on whether to wait for the 3D-capable 80" coming out this spring or to just buy the 70" now... that is, unless another smoking deal comes along from the likes of one of the big-box stores that i just can't refuse.

at my local bjs 733U for 2499.99 and 632U for 1949.99

I am pretty amazed the 735 is not dropping with the new models coming out. We may have to wait until summer when the "945" is released since it will be the only 3D set in 70" with full array (and local from teh Elite) dimming.

Seems like Sharp may have done a decent job of managing the channel to avoid (too much) price compression between Thanksgiving and the 2012 sets. Prices have come down some, but it seems like the real price compression took place the moment these sets shipped

Well, the time has come my friends! I started this thread when I first decided to get the 70" LED. Well, after 2 sets, I've decided to return it and go with the Plasma. The clouding issues on both sets were just too much. Maybe not an issue to some but It was very noticable to me. Good luck if you guys are looking for an LED but I think they need to address and fix this backlight issue or they will be seeing many more returns. Now, anyone need some 3D glasses? Thankfully, the new Plasma comes with them out of the box. Sharp should have done this as well but that's another topic!
I can get the 732 for about $2050 locally, and then I will get the extended warranty from Costco for $100....for 4 years total.....

Is this a good deal ?
I am still holding my breath the "945 series" is 80% the Elite picture at 1/2 the price!
