Sharp 70" Deals - Page 2

East coast TVS has the 732 for a tremendous price, but I don't know much about them and I don't think they are authorized. 3 weeks ago Vanns had an instant rebate of $500 off the $2799 price that was supposed to go through 12/11/2011 but they will not honor it now, just talked to them. I wish I would have jumped then, but I thought it would be another 3 months to finish the cabinet not 4 weeks. The $2,299 was also on Amazon for a short while.

The 735 is being offered by Buy.com (via Pauls TV) for $2999, free shipping.

Thought I would let you guys know that ABT quoted me a whipped price of 2350$ for the 732 and best buy matched it, so I got to deal local and walk out with the TV at a great price

Also us appliance has the 734 for sale right now for $2447 but you won't see the discount until at the final checkout screen (so says bountii.com anyways). Only difference between the 34 and 32 is sharps "fake" 240hz aquomotion feature.

Nice Tv's and I want one today......Just have to get my wife on board to hopefully get one prior to the end of the year.

I had a printout of the chat conversation with ABT and I did speak with a manager. While yes normally BB will not price match online stores ABT does have physical stores in the Chicagoland area. Also, it is all at the managers discretion - YMMV but sometimes they are feeling more generous

How low do we think the 732 is going to go in the next couple of weeks? I am guessing a real price drop will not occur until the CES show and new models are released or Super Bowl.

My best guess is that it could drop to 2499.99 - if there is a surplus of product in the channel.

I bought the 732 last night from Amazon for $2479. It'll be here by the 22nd. Can't wait. Any in-depth reviews or comparisons for these TVs? Is it a good purchase? I have slight buyers remorse/guilt...lol. It was my wife's idea though so that helps.

I'm also wondering if anyone has posted a good comparison of all the 70" models?

The 732u is 2349.99 tonight on Amazon. If I were only in the market

$2,300 now. I think I'm still gonna hold out for the 632 to drop below $2k again. If it wasn't for the $150 shipping, I might have jumped on the 732 though.

This morning at BB it was extremely slow so I made a random bid for a 735 for $2,999 thinking maybe they were desperate.

The Magnolia employee talked to the manager but no go. In fact they seemed pretty firm on the $3,499 asking price and tried to sell me the 65" VT30 for $2,999 instead.

I will try again after the Holidays and see if I get any leverage. I would buy a 735 in a heart beat if the price was down to $2,499 but would settle for $2,999 if they actually made the deal right now.

Wow that is seriously tempting. For things like Televisions (especially large ones) I still prefer to buy locally. That way if I have a problem I can deal with it locally and most retailers in my area are very good about making the customer happy.

In reality Amazon is pretty safe and painless from experiences I have read here at the forum. If it does not work Amazon ships you a new one with no hassle and someone will come by to pick up the old one. Considering the deals they often have compared to a brick and mortar store you almost can't pass Amazon up. Its sad but the brick and mortar stores just can't compete and its really starting to show. Saving $500 buys a lot of something else now days.

At the moment I am seriously stressed out from the Holiday chaos and can't think straight. I am going to sit on the idea until after new years and then start shopping around then.

One thing to keep an eye on is according to the guy working majors at my local Costco they are supposed get there version of the 70" 3D Sharp at some point. Its not in the pipeline yet but it will be coming. Possibly as a 2012 model.

I'm new here, obviously, and ran across this thread while looking for info on my new Sharp 734. Most of the prices quoted have been on the 732 and I was able to get my 734 for $2766 shipped with 5 year warranty from US Appliance.

I'm not advertising for them at all...just posting a price. You don't see the final price until you enter CC information on order page.

I don't have mine mounted yet just sitting on a 72" cabinet I had made...I plan to get it mounted this weekend. Going from a 50" Vizio plasma I bought several years ago...

Once I get it mounted and calibrated I'll be glad to post pics if anyone is interested.

So tempting. Unless something really interesting (to me) is announced at CES this set is the direction I'm leaning...

Interesting for me at CES would be a 935 type model....basically the 735 plus local dimming, with updated for 2012 processing, but not every bell or whistle of the Elite, nor the cost!

Supposedly they will at some point but exactly when nobody knows and you have to take what Costco employees say with a grain of salt. I don't think it would be a shock if they did carry it though.

Interestingly I was in my local Costco again a few days ago and they now have the 80" Sharp on display and for sale. So a version of the 70" with 3D could just show up at anytime.
