damn it missed it . Why is this tv dropping in price so fast? I still see Sharp 735U holding the price of around $2600
Went to my local HHGregg and got them to come down to $2600 from $3300 for the 847U and they threw in 2 pairs of 3D glasses. Pretty pleased with that deal and glad that I was able to get it locally and not worry about shipping. BB wouldn't budge on their price
Guys, I'm looking to buy a Sharp Aquos Quattron LC-70LE732U. I'm concerned about buying from these small online stores. The cheapest from a known store is Amazon for 2600. Are any of these small stores good and honest? I'm concerned about extra charges and BS going on. Are any box stores selling cheaper? Looking for any help. Thanks in advance!
Riverside - interesting point. Are you sure about the July dip? That seems odd to me, as I recall the November price drops well but had assumed they were the bottom as they cleared out inventory in anticipation of 2012s.
Can you recall what the drops were? I think the 70 in 632 and 732 series dropped about 25% from retail price by November - from about $2.5k for the 632 down to about $1.8k.
From little that I still remember from creating my Amazon price alert, the 835U dipped to it's lowest in July.. Can't say if it's going to be repeated this year..

I just hope the Samsung 65" in the EH6000 and the ES6500 lineups are released this summer as scheduled. Not to mention the mythical SHARP 945U. That should put considerable pressure on the SHARP big screens.. Currently they are the only game in town if one wants to go bigger than 60".
Sears is having a special that reduces the 70LE847u down to $2630 and one pair of 3d glasses to $50. I think that is broken down into 10% off the $2999.99 price of the TV and a $69.99 credit for a pair of glasses, but the glasses also have a discount online that makes them only $50 each.
Heard good and bad stories about Sears' delivery and customer support, but your mileage may vary.
as someone mentioned above, im also interested in the LC-70LE732U, but it google seems to indicate the smaller, less reputable online dealers are all thats left
im hesitant to place an order with one, as ive heard some horror stories.
anyone seen one of these for a comparable price of ~2100?
i was looking at this years models, but there have been some things that have really put me off - edge lit, no quattron in the lower models, cnet says they couldnt get theirs to properly pull down 24p, etc etc
I just went thru postings on this thread and although I have posted on the 80 inch thread because this week I bought the Sharp 80 inch 632u for $3219 from Sears I thought you guys should know this and start watching every week at Sears online as they have 2 and 1 day sales with incredible savings. Sears regular price on this tv is $4999 and they put in on sale for $3999 and then had a extra savings sale on top of that where I ended up at $3219
pretty good deal, its 2365 today ...wonder if costco will match that price,at least with them ya have 90 days to see if any major problems come up with it Edited by suncom3 - 8/14/12 at 8:56am
