So after I shop around at Fry's and VideoOnly, I came to the following 2 options:

1. 745u
- possibly better panel (not sure)
- metal body (I like it)
- 3D ready (not something that I care)
- 1 year standard warranty

2. 640u
- plastic body (meh..)
- free mount, not the labor
- 2 year warranty.

Both for the same price. In your opinion, which one is the better value of the two?

How much is the 745u at Fry's?

It's 2200, actually the LC-70c7450u version. Basically same panel but with the 240mhz motion processor. From various reviews, this is basically a useless feature.

How does it compare to last year's full array models such as LC-70LE735U?

Thanks,
Yenal

Pauls tv has the 847u for $2799, no tax and $100 restaurant.com coupon. Great deal for those that are in the local area of a Pauls store and don't wish to buy from an unauthorized online dealer.

Frys BM has 70" 7450u for 1999 now for Columbus Day. $200 cheaper than their last deal.

Last year Fry's black friday deal was 1499, ..hoping this year it will be lower. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes on for 1299. I'm praying for 999

HHGregg put out their Black Friday pricing @ 1799 this year.

Its been very quiet in this thread lately

Nobody seems to have the 70LE847. Costco and Sam's are both out of stock, same with Sears. The price is back up to $3000 on Amazon.

Pauls tv has a 70le847u, free white glove delivery and no sales tax, price is $2700. Is this a good deal?

No its not. as They were just 2600 the other day. And if you look them up on reseller ratings there reviews are horriable. But I did go into bestbuy over the weekend, and even though they only sell the 845 version which is best buy exclusive, they were will to match the price of east coast tvs, including the 2 % dicount. for a total of 2439 plus tax. So not a bad deal. I am going to wait for the new year and hopefully get the after christmas sales. But for those that cant wait there you go.

$2514 at East Cost TV after paycheck promo code applied - no tax and free shipping. Prices are all over the place on this TV.

Looked at some reviews and then called those guys (ECTV) - they are pretty shady. I live in NJ and wanted to come pick up the tv but "had to bring cash as they have no CC machine in the store". So you sell multi thousand dollar products in a store with no CC machine? I just got a really skeevy vibe from those guys. Now i'm looking for other deals.

Any 70" sharp deals out there on the 847? I missed the deal of the day on ebay! damnit. anything else going on? about to pay 3k for one at hhg

Call Pauls tv and ask for gaberial or omar. Omar is the supervisor. The deal was great. But then again I am a very very hard negotiator and wont take no for an answer. Also do you research and make sure you have other places that are cheaper and make sure they are know you want to buy but are willing to go somewhere else. Took me about 30 minutes to get the deal done as they had to get approval. But other than that it went great. Just waiting for the tv to show up now. Ordered it Friday, which mean it did not move till monday and now is in transit. Should have it at the latest by tuesday next week. I will update and let everyone know how it went. If it was good. It will be very good. If it goes bad. All hell will break loose. Good Luck!

Costco & Best Buy have the Sharp 70" (LC-70LE600U) on sale now for $1699, $500 off list. That's an incredible deal! I bought a Vizio e70" but has some issues so thinking of returning to Costco and grabbing one of these Sharps. Only problem I can't find any reviews on this model...

Most say it is a step down in PQ from the 640/6400.
FYI Walmat has the 70" 640U on sale for 1598. Looks like a killer deal right now. Just make sure you mention the weekly local store flyer has it listed for that amount as online and instore it shows 1998 still.

My Wal Mart has it priced at 1598.99 but none in stock. I left my number for when they get stock in the store. We'll see.
