Fry's has a one day sale for tomorrow December 26th. They are advertising the sharp for 1999. It doesn't say the model number but probably the 632
Nice. I'm hoping it's a set with at least Quattron. If so, I might just go pick it up. At this point, I don't think the 632 for that price is such a great deal since you can pick up the top of the line 70 for about $800 more...we'll see.
It was the 632. Frys agreed to match amazons price for the 735 but had none in stock. The wait continues. Hopefully just a couple more weeks til after ces
735 now 2869 at Amazon. The price slide continues. Can't wait to see where this thing is selling once CES is here.
New panels from Sharp should be shipping to the retail channel during the February - March 2012 time frame. All the current product needs to be moved. Expect further price reductions to clear inventory.
Been looking for 632/732. Amazon has the 732 through Express Accessories for 2049.99 + 149 Shipping. Never heard of this seller and the description says it ships from the UK...
Guess what? Looks like Amazon is practicing variable pricing. It still shows $2762 for me. I check it about 10x/day. Maybe they're smart enough to know that at some low enough price I might actually pull the trigger!

Clear your cookies and cache. I've noticed this before on a couple of other sites, they can place a cookie that tells them if you've looked at the product before and sometimes will show the higher price still even if it's been lowered.

Did that. Same price. Actually, now the price is $6 lower $2756.39 to be exact. At some point even my wife will decide it's a good idea
prices actually higher today, they will fluctuate. I went ahead and bought the 735 when it hit below $2770.
Was going to wait until mid January, but it was in my price range so I got it.
I almost bought right after thanksgiving, glad I waited. I would have bought the 734 model if I bought then, Got the 735 instead for almost same price I would have paid for the 734.
Thanks Bill. This has gotten to be a fun spectator sport. I guess I have to pick a price at which I pull the trigger. Tough to do with CES so close though...
Is there a thread on the relative differences among the various models, and discussion about the practical differences, as well (as opposed to theoretical)?
I think I nearly have my wife ready to cave on a 70" Sharp (non-Elite, sadly). I believe the 735 is the top of the line and the 734 is the exactly same screen but no 3D, correct? What I don't know is what the differences are when you drop down to the 732/733 models... and how much real-world difference those differences make. (especially when comparing calibrated screens)
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread regardless, as the price has to pass a certain threshold before I can pull the trigger. (Especially given that I'll need a new console to hold my AV gear and a good wall mount, too.)
Im with you Kalami... I have around 20 Days until I make a purchase maybe 25 and waiting to see how this plays out.. I am to curious if the 734 is the exact same tv as the 735 but with no 3d

That I'm relatively sure of. (relatively) (734 is a no 3d version of 735)
I hear you. Given the way the price keep bouncing off the mid $2700's I get the sense that current dealer cost may be right around $2600. I could be wrong of course, and Sharp may lower dealer cost to blow out inventory and capacity ahead of the 2012 models after CES. Time will tell but IMO Super Bowl time frame will be very tight for your desired pricing. Hope I'm wrong!
$2754 again at Amazon/Paul's today. This seems to be the bottom until/unless Sharp changes channel pricing, and/or CES brings new sets from Sharp or competitive factors which force the channel to clear inventory.
CES Show unveils glassless 3d, Crystal LED, 8K, 4K, ugh, my head is spinning...good news is the price on the 735 has to go down further with all these new technologies around the corner...or is 3d with glasses so 2010? Something tells me just get the non-3d until it the technology is determined...
