Hi,
I am needing to install a DCI compliant projector setup for a client in their home, the room is 70ft long and about 30ft wide. The screen is already installed as the room was done and working, but we have been asked to change out the consumer grade projector for a DCI version.
What I want to know is TODAY (as in end of 2011), what are the real world differences in the three DCI capable brands in terms of suing them in a home environment. IE does one have better ability to switch brightness for 3D, or is one easier to operate with Crestron, or does one have auto brightness changeover when 3D is detected (maybe they all do).
Does say a Christie offer advantages in being able to tune it for 2D viewing on a small screen (16ft wide 1.85:1 screen).
Does one brand have easier 4k conversion in the near future?
Are they all fast frame rate compatible?
We want to spec the best unit, but I need to know why one is better than another. If they are.
I realize all these projectors are amazing and there is no bad DCI capable unit, just trying to find some small differences so we can better select a unit to install.
Thank you!
Jon
