I'm looking to spend <$1,000 and my best bang for my buck. I'm no audiophile, but i recently purchased a soundbar, and I do know those don't do it for me.
Here's my story.... Biased opinions aside, can anyone recommend me a set up for this price? It will used mostly for blu rays and gaming. I've read alot about Polk speakers, Denon, Onkyo, and Pioneer receivers, but I'm just really not sure what way to go. The room is fairly large and wide open, so I know I have that against me with getting the best sound. I'd prefer to get a 7.1 receiver if the budget allows, but that's not a deal breaker. Right now, I'm just trying to get the receiver, center, sub, and fronts set up.... maybe some rears a little later down the road (unless the budget allows it).
If there is ANYTHING I should definitely pay attention to while shopping or any recommendations of any of the items I've mentioned I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
