Thinking about onkyo ht-s3400

First time buyer and just trying to get a general feel for this entry level system before I probably build my own.

I know onkyo typically has good - great sound quality but in regards to this system how would I go about connecting different types of peripherals to it?

like an ipod, blu ray, dvd, xbox, ps3, computer and the like?
