Spielberg To Make Another "Indy" Movie..

really? He didn't learn from the last one (I didn't bother to watch)? There may be a link at abc.com, as I heard this on their early morning news. Ford is allegedly on board for a late 2012 production. Since they're planning to do this, they should probably just reboot and bring on a younger actor.

How about... NO!

I don't want to live in a world where I am watching the "old, original" Indy movies.

The rest of the trilogy released on Blu-ray would be a better use of the studios money.

I'd lol at all youre reactions to a J.J. Abrams version of Indy though. That alone might be worth it.

Agreed, but I am only interested in the 1st two.

Yeah, every time Indy's hat falls off, shoots a gun, cracks his whip, there would be a lens flair flare...

They've already done that. See "The Young Indiana Jones Chrnonicles". It ran for 3 years. They are available in 3 box sets under the title "The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones", Volumes 1 through 3.

My rating: Good, but the background information provided as extras on the DVD sets is Great.

After reading the summary of Darabont's Indy 4 script that Lucas rejected, and seeing how much better of a film we could've had, I have little faith or interest in a 5th film. More than likely it will just be a setup film to hand the franchise off to Shia or someone else, and Lucas will have his stupid, tinkering paws all over it. No thanks (a.k.a. I'll Netflix it eventually).

And silly Abrams jokes aside, he would be well suited for this material. Action, adventure, characters, conflict, and heart... everything he focuses on in his work. Also considering his partnership with Spielberg, having him helm Indy 5 is actually something that would get me really excited for it, enough to pay to see it in the theater.

+1. And all silly (or even funny) flare jokes aside, Abrams is a very talended director. Let's not forget his TV shows, Lost and Fringe specially.

Really? Last Crusade is actually my favorite of all Indy films. Yet I really think Harrison Ford is 'getting too old for this sh-t' But I guess Indy being Indy, I will most likely go see it anyway (and buy it even!)

Last Crusade is my favorite too.

Just hope the 5th one doesn't have more.... Aliens!!!

Maybe Ford could be the stay-in-the-classroom archaeology prof and send out the next gen kid to do the adventurous leg work....

Is JJ Abrahms going to write it?? If so, with SS's direction, count me in!!! The 4th wasn't the end of the world but not in the ballgame of the originals!

Indy swaps out his satchel for a colostomy bag. Or maybe just hides it inside so he still looks cool taking a dump while standing.

If by "plugs" you mean it in the sense of 1930s gangster slang for "shoots her dead," I'd be all for that. Woman is damn annoying.
