As I am getting closer to finishing the media room my thoughts turn to what to do about TV viewing there.
The current Dish DVR (which was top of the line 3 - 4 years ago and still decent picture quality even though at 1080i) would be kept for the living room flat panel and a new one added for just the media room (projector and AT screen).
I have been a Dish customer for something over 10 years, and was hoping they might be willing to kick in a little extra for my loyalty. Not trying to squeeze them, but also don't want to leave money on the table when I call them up to negotiate. So what could I reasonably expect to receive from them? Ideally, I would like:
1. New DVR for the media room - what cost / monthly fee is reasonable?
2. New DVR for the living room (wouldn't be surprised if it failed soon as it is getting up there in years)
3. Price break on having multiple DVRs and the extra DVR fees. The extra fees seemed a bit unreasonable last time I checked and are the reason we just have one now.
4. No install or change fees - this would be a no brainer to install - the wiring is all there and it is a simple plug in and go.
