TC-P55ST30 serious blur gaming issues

I just bought my first plasma (p55ST30) and expected an improved picture quality, smoothness, and input lag over my older Sony xbr8 46 inch lcd.
Instead I got a horrible choppy (blurry) picture 9as opposed to smoothly flowing picture), after 30 minutes of PS3 gaming I got a headache (no kidding).

The sony was really flawless compared to this plasma, no choppiness whatsoever in any game. I wanted to improve more on my lag input with this TV but I got this choppiness instead.

This was on the game mode on this Panasonic TV.

I am very disappointed and before returning this TV i want to make sure I research and give every opportunity for this TV to stay on my wall.

Any ideas folks?
Thanks

thanks

i have the motion smoother off on the PS3

i am using an HDMI cable, hopping to try the video component cable today and see if that helps.

the game that I am having blurriness trouble most is MAG, its an THX game, do you think that plays a role? but then I dont think the Sony xbr8 was THX certified

mag can be the problem. i play all the cods and have no trouble. what other games are giveing you trouble..THX certified only means that when u play a blu-ray it looks like the moive theather. my st30 is not THX certified.. but use game mode

ok, I think you're right. I played black ops (COD game) and it was great. I played Socom3 (made by Zipper that makes MAG too) and choppiness was all over the place.
I dont know what the deal with Zipper games I know Zipper is shutting down soon, so I am not sure if they have an answer for me

I am testing resistance 3 soon.

ok so Resistance 3 is also blurry. I think this TV can only plays 1080p games such as COD good. Everything else is blurry.
I am wondering if there is a magical setting I could change to fix this.
As of now I miss my Sony

The COD games don't even run at 720p. There are very few games that are natively 1080p. Almost all are upscaled.

I say swap the tv out for a new one and see if anything changes. Sounds like a very strange problem. I have a two year old G10 and have never experienced anything like that. Most others would probably agree.
