Hey guys, I have the following setup:

Panasonic Vierra TC-P50G10
Denon AVR 2310CI
Panasonic DMP-BDT210 Blue Ray Player
Satellite Box
5.1 Surround System

My question is I thing my HDMI1 in back of the TV is bad, would I be able to run this setup with one good HDMI port on the TV? Also, I don't think it's a problem to run a 7.1 receiver with a 5.1 speaker system, but if it is someone
please let me know, LoL!! Thanks!!

Assuming you have tried HDMI2 and it works, then simply use your AVR-2310CI as your hub. So, one HDMI cable going between the receiver and the TV. The Blu-Ray and "Satellite Box" go into the receiver. You'll use the receiver to switch between sources.

The 2310 has a very nice menu system that allows you to select whether or not you have rear surround speakers hooked up. The 2310 then down-folds the 4 rear channels to 2 rear channels if you don't have the center surrounds. So as long as you make the proper menu select (the menu graphics will only show 5.1 speakers if you select properly) the receiver will do the rest.
