Yes, I got that from reading, especially the "poll." Very telling.

Did you have any issues getting the Zap skin working? I prefer the Zapp skin (I have the HTML one on my A200 and use Zappiti on my Dunes), but one person who mentioned it to me said it was a PITA to set up

evZap! is very easy to setup and run ... all of the eversion "eskins" are much easier than the old html-based skins.

cool will have to try some. I really like the stock skin as it gives you details without having to push down into each movie. Its really nice to get a summary without clicking to select the movie.

Hopefully some other skins retain this great feature.

Question: Can you automate the Popbox to boot into Eversion. With the C200 it would reboot back to the name network share see the index.html and auto load eversion so it "appeared" like eversion auto loaded.

is there any way to get this type of behavior or do I have to go apps then select yamj then select the quick start link. not exactly wife friendly.

I know the the 300 the same trick as the C200 should work but with the Popbox V8 there is no HTML skin support.

If you just put the popbox on Standby when you turn back on it loads right into the last screen you were on (so if you were still in Eversion that is what would appear when you turn back on). If you actually do a hard power down of the Popbox you will just be taken back to the main screen (same goes with the PCH)

Also, why would the trick work for the 300 series, it does not support HTML skins like the 200?

OK Did not realized they removed HTML Support of the A300 as well.

The C200 will return to the last used share on cold reboot so thats enables the auto re-start of eversion.

Thanks for the info.

I posted a way how to make eversion autostart on boot on the nmt forums but only it works with NMT apps installed.

NMT apps requires an internal or attached drive, correct?

internal drive/attached drive or a usb stick.

halfelite, can you please post the link to your instructions for eversion autostart on boot? I searched NMT forums, but couldn't find it. I assume this works with A-300, but not PopBox v8?

Also, is there a way to disable the 'YAMJ update available' popups that come up when you start eversion? I hit 'Ignore', but it's annoying to do everytime I launch eversion. Thanks.

Thanks, no PopBox as NMT apps and CSI are needed. Now, for A-300, just need to figure out what the path to my WHS share should be in the code halfelite shared.

If its on a share you will need one more line of code to mount the share also. I will post it up in a bit. If I were You I would stick eversion locally just to get the hang of it then modify it for network shares.

Also to disable the update message its in esettings-default.xml in eversion eversion just make your own esettings.xml files and make the changes in it.
Okay, thanks. Will look for your updated instructions on autostart for eversion on a share.

Unboxed my A-300, my first networked media device, two days ago and hooked it to a mulitmedia monitor in my main computer room. After two days of reading, I downloaded and installed Hanewin NFS server on my Win 7 64-bit PC. Sharing a folder and getting the A-300 to see it was very easy. I copied an ISO into the shared folder and NMJ saw it and, after some key presses, it populated the folder with art and an NFO. OK, at that point I deleted the ISO and now have Clown running to output a BD folder structure. After this movie is ripped and I have verified everything is working as I expect it to (read: I have verified that I know what the hell I am doing), I will rip 2-3 more titles and see what NMJ ... or maybe YAMJ by then ... does with them.

Then it's on to my DVD-A and SACD titles. There is something called music daemon which is said to read DSF/DSDIFF files from a server, converts them on the fly to PCM and plays them on the A-300.

Cinavia does not apply to the A300 regardless of whether or not it is present in the file itself

Thank you Damian,
This is good news. Since i'll be able to read all the files, I will buy this player and get rid off my PS3!

What is the model number and system software (firmware) of your PS3?

Hi Damian,

I have posted this over on NMT but have yet to receive any help. Maybe you know or can direct me to a dummies guide.

I have an NFS share - temporarily my share is on a RAID attached to my main PC until I get everything working and roll out a dedicated media server in the basement. I can access the share via "networked media" in NMJ and I can browse my movies in YAMJ/Eversion. While movies play via NMJ, they don't in YAMJ. They said I needed to "Add Share" which I have tried to do, but it asks for username/password when none were set. I have given it the Windows logon and that wasn't it. Plus, I am not sure about the shared folder name ... is there a / in front, two / and/or haw about :?

I am stuck on basics and it is frustrating.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like your playerpath is incorrect possibly in YAMJ. FOr NFS it should be something like this:

nfs://MyServer:/Videos

Where MyServer = Your PC Name or IP Address
Where /Videos = shared videos path

What does your playerpath look like in your My_Library.xml file?
On mine, for NFS, I need the actual IP adress as opposed to the server name like "HPSERVER". SMB is easier, so you may want to try that first.

I've got the IP address in and correct. Checking My_Library now ...

I will fire up the system and look at my entries.

J:\\PCH

As I said I am able to access my movies via the browser, just haven't been able to "Add Share" and get to them via the share. accident tells me I am having a "300 series share problem." And once the 300 can use the share, they can get yamj to work with it also.

Seriously, that is your playerpath??? No wonder why it doesn't work, you have no path specified

This is what my My_Library.xml file looks like:

Code:

    smb://MyServer/Videos/Movies Family HD/

    My Videos
