No such thing. Instead it is a shiv kill.

I like the patch but wish when you interrupted a special execution it left the person being executed alive.

I'd think thats what this is:
Quote:
Players can interrupt an opponent's Special Execution of a team mate, robbing the opposing team of the points/parts, and (not confirmed) earning the player a part bonus

Before it would just kill the Executioner outright (he'd be tuck in the animation, so wouldn't count as a down) and the teammate being executed would drop dead from the unfinished execution animation. I'd hope he'd go back to just being down now so you could save him..

Installing the patch, gonna try it now:)

Just finished up my first 12 weeks on MP, took about 12-13 hours total. I'm really enjoying this MP more than I thought I would and now they've added another game mode!
Interrogation is now my favorite mp mode. I had a blast. Was in a good team though.

Survivor+ was relatively easy, but I loved the feel and tension it created even more.

Played a little more drunken MP last night and ended up rage quitting a few times. I'm playing no parties and still getting owned but to be fair I'm still on week one. The new mode is pretty sweet though.

DLC! Hopefuly.

Just finished off my second 12 weeks in MP last night. Looking forward to some DLC

Just in time for my October Halloween gaming.

I'm guessing this is just an announcement (if not just FUBAR ginned up by the net), but a really creepy/jumpy survival horror DLC this Month would be awesome.

Their timing is impeccable. I just traded this in to Amazon (after I got the plat) for $33.53 that I applied to my GTA V purchase. Oh well.
I'll only be trading this one if a PS4 definitive version is announced.

It belongs in my collection!

While I believe this game had one of the best stories I've experienced in a video game, I don't think the replayability factor is there. Once you know the story, where's the incentive to play it again? Survivor+ only kept me intrigued because I ran and gunned my first playthrough. Slowing it down and going stealth the second time was a lot of fun.

There are certain games like this and the Uncharted series that I really enjoy replaying from time to time just to experience it again. The same way I like to watch my favorite movies over again.

I've done 5 playthroughs so far, and I will be buying this DLC day one, and if a PS4 version is announced I'll buy it day one as well.

I did the opposite, mostly stealth first time and then on NG+ a lot more straight up gunning. Both ways are a lot of fun as they have a ton of great scenarios in the game.

I prefer stealth, so many ways to test the AI. I was quite surprised when someone actually snuck up on my in my Survivor run. I still prefer normal for the supplies and less omnipotent infected but listen mode is a crutch I don't miss now.

DLC info

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/09/27/the-last-of-us-future-dlc-plans/

First is a MP map pack dated for Oct 15th
Second is SP DLC sometime around the New Year
Third is MP DLC TBD
The only one I'd care about would be the SP DLC...and it better have Ish in it! If that happens, I'll just pick the game up used at a big discount.
I hope the 2014 DLC is a survival mode. For the love of God, why doesn't this survival/horror game have a freaking survival mode?!!

Is it just me or do the black levels completely turn to crap at a certain point (once it turns night after you meet Ellie) in the game?

Just finished it last week. This game blew me away with its great story, characters, sound and once I got used to the controls (I play mostly FPS) the mechanics work very well. Few games made me feel for the characters and feel scared/vulnerable at times as this one did. I would put this in my top 3 of all time games. Way to many great moments in this game not to play it through to the end.

Played on Panasonic VT60 so the blacks should be reasonably black but they were smeary gray, If anything the graphics were inconsistent in quality for the pending GOTY .

On some of the scenes you could see them intentionally raise the black level as you went into a dark area....I think they were going for the visual equivalent of white noise as silence. Otherwise the blacks seemed dead on to me.

My disc was definitely buggy and probably not reflective of the overall graphics quality. Would like to see TLOS on the ps4.

I played through the game twice on my plasma and had no issue with the black levels. Did you adjust the gamma in game to your liking?
I'm about 81% done - and I feel like many others. This is the best game I've played on this generation, possibly all time. I am REALLY enjoying it. The thing about it is its not as scary as Dead Space was; which makes me enjoy it even more.
