Well I have the typical wife that doesn't want to see the speakers and I can't move the furniture around. So we have a corner TV setup (see attached photobucket link). Sorry we are under construction at the moment. My thought was to get a set of in ceiling speakers or small speakers for the ceiling. I do most of my viewing on the big counch and guests generally sit in the love sit (by the Christmas tree. My thought was to put a surround sound speaker centered above the couch and centered about the love sit. I think this would by ideal if I was sitting in the corner opposite the TV based on diagram I have researched online. I would like my guests to get a feel for the surround sound but if it isn' possible oh well. Do you think it would be better to move the surrounds to either side of the couch I generally sit in or stick with my plan to center them above the love seat and couch? Any other suggestions? Also is there a decent in ceiling speaker I can get for around $100 ($150 max). If not in ceiling maybe small ceiling surrounds? With this price range is it even worth the trouble or should I stick with 3.1? Thanks in advance for all your help.
