Looks like it will probably be a full fledged spinoff and I hope that means that they'll keep the gymkhana stuff out of Dirt 4, which they confirmed that they are still working on.

The Dirt games are now officially lost on me...I feel like I'm driving a hyper powered car in the middle of some X-Games arena competition
Flashing spotlights, confetti cannons..please no mas, no mas!

I miss the days of screaming at top speed through forests and flying off cliff edges when I go too hot into a turn :P

I think there was still plenty of both in 3. Sure, the X games portion is bleeding into it more and more, but they still had a good emphasis on rallying.

Hopefully this game will suck out more of the Xtreme!!!! portions for their own game, and dirt 4 will go back to its dirt 1 roots.

I wouldn't mind a good demolition derby type game. Sort of a modern remake of Destruction Derby games. Why not, most online racing is a frakking demotion derby anyways.

Got this game and I am absolutely in love with the demolition stuff, but less so with the racing and gymkhana crap. Got it for $30 on Amazon so I'm perfectly content with the purchase.

Tight tracks with confetti cannons going off....not my bag, baby.........honestly the Dirt series is getting tired, even the new Rally-only racing makes me feel like I could have saved $40 bucks and just popped in last-year's game......

The new rally only racing game won't be out for a good long while.

I'm with you. I feel like they keep trying to modify this to better fit the "rally" that U.S. people know, which is based on what they see on the X-Games. Right now it's so glitzy it's almost like The Fast and the Furious meets Rally.
