No it really doesn't. It's simply the way you're (incorrectly) inferring it. Just because you (strongly) disagree with what I think doesn't mean my opinion is an attack or belittling.

But of course if 10 people read the response to MY opinion, I'm sure they would (accurately) label IT a belittling "attack".

Point to the best picture nominations and winners in the kid-cartoon genre (which I realize doesn't mean there are not decent to good movies within the genre). I know, I know, the academy doesn't know what they're talking about either. Those damn childhood-hating elitists.

Ill leave the thread now and let you have the last word. It's not fair to the thread and others- although I wonder how many go beyond Potts review and the next 20 comments anyway.

FWIW: I thought the movie was ok. Ditto for the audio and 95% of these films animation pretty much blurs together at this point: they're all "awesome"!!!

Sorry, Ralph, I just circled back to this thread, since I saw it at the top for so long.

I think the point here is that everyone is entitled to their opinion, even though I may not agree with both opinions.

However, our world has regressed to cacoethes loquendi and away from social graces.

Some people can artfully put their point across with tact and decorum... others can not.

Is there a known audio drop out issue with this Blu-ray? I have updated my firmware, yet we can't enjoy this title because the audio keeps goin in and out....

No problems here. It does have some weird authoring that has caused problems with some older players using Mediatek decoders, but I haven't heard of dropouts being the result. Set your player to bitstream and turn off secondary audio, see if that helps.

What player and audio chain?

No audio dropouts with my Oppo BDP-93 through an Onkyo 5008.

No issues here. I'm running a Sony S550 BD player hooked up to a Pioneer SC-27.

I have not seen this one yet....Netflix sent it this week, but then my "helpful" wife returned the envelope because she thought I watched it already.
So instead of waiting for them to send it to me again, I bought it on Amazon. I hope it's worth it (i LOVED the first one)

Finally got around to watching this. The picture was really quite spectacular....although, i noticed a little aliasing with Sheefu's mustache during one scene (not sure if it was my equipment though).
As for the movie, I really liked it...but felt like it was maybe a little too brief. Wanting more isn't a bad thing though, I guess. I thought they did an excellent job with the emotional arc. And overall, this villain was a bit better than in the first one for me.

One thing I did not like though was the ending.

I watched this movie again last night and enjoyed it even more than the first time! It's incredible how much detail you can pick up on the second time around.
However, one thing that I did notice is this is another movie I own that my Denon 4306 AVR will only allow me to go to a maximum volume of -6.5. There are a few other films that do this as well, TF 2, and TF1 come to mind and I have no idea how to correct this. Called Denon and they said they've never heard of it and that I should call Panasonic on my DMP-BD55. I'm sure it's not the way the blu ray disk was created, but I also can't seem to find a reason as to why my AVR or BD player would cause it either. All I do know is, -6.5 is loud, but not loud enough .

Agreed on the ending. Cop out. Not as bad as the son being alive in War of the Worlds mind you...

I bought this Blu Ray from BB and tried it on my Panny 310 (updated to 1.8 Firmware) and can't get it to play.

I notice yo8u have the same BRP-- did you notice any issues?

+2 I was tearing during the sequence of Po's flashback.. It automatically reminded me of my baby boy, of how sad it could be if it were to happened to him.. (he's just 18 months that time, too young for cinema!!)

I wonder if I got a defective disc--I'll try to return to best buy.

I did go back to Best Buy, and thankfully, they exchanged the blu-rays.

Now things work like a charm--original disc was defective. (Whew!)
