Looking for some help/suggestions on which component(s) are more important to upgrade to get a better/clearer/louder sound to fill 26X18 basement room??
Have:
-Technics SA-EX140 60hz/155w Receiver..(I know Reciever is so so,mid to low end)
-Bose 201 iv series speakers...(I know the Bose aren't good, but got some kick to it in a way still)
-I listen to alot of vinyl & cd's....-TT:The Pro-Ject Xpression III &-CD:Technics SL PD887
1)
I was looking at MARANTZ - PM5004 INTEGRATED AMP, is this a good choice?
If I just get the PM5004 (no speakers)will that give me a better/louder sound, will it be an improvement??
I know speakers pretty much drive the sound so do I upgrade speakers and or keep reciever and get an intergrated amp???
2)
Speaker budget $500/$600....new or vintage used?
I tried Polk 60c and 70 series Infinity P362(?)speakers, not much of a difference from my Boses.
3)
Do I get an intergrated amp and speakers? or do try the Amp 1st? or just get speakers?
