Hi Greg, nice to hear from you again. How's things hangin down-under?
RT, your right. Besluite, besluite! Nou maak jy dit DUBBEL moeilik om 'n besluit te neem!
So, to avoid making any HASTY decisions and picking the wrong girl(s) for my ticket booth, I've decided, for NOW, to opt for the classic red velvet curtain with traditional golden frills at the bottom:
I've made it such that I can wind it up on a rod by turning a knob on the side of the booth (visible at the top right). I can now raise or lower the curtain as I wish, so when I finally make a decision on what to put behind the glass, I can just open the curtain or keep it closed if I wish!
Some other news: I've just confirmed that the carpet will be installed on Mon and Thu next week. I'm very happy to be at THIS stage of the build already. I think it will look completely different after the carpet goes in. Boy, oh boy, I didn't realize that carpet is SO expensive!
I probably must've found out what carpet cost beforehand, but it would'nt have helped anything since it's one of those things that had to be done anyway, but the sticker shock would have been much less I think.
I have decided to go with a black carpet with dark grey lines/stripes in it going from back to front in the HT to make the room look a bit longer. The carpet on the stage will be black.
I've also managed to pull the electric cables from the equipment rack, through two double-brick firewalls in the attic of the house, to the main breaker box. I'll do everything I can with the wiring except to connect it to the breaker box - I think it's best to leave that to an electrician.
